We made harder work of that then was necessary but we are through! Terribly sloppy at times, especially at the start of the second-half, but overall we deserved it.
I have had a few on here disagree with my belief that Rosenborg are an ordinary side but they really showed it tonight, they offered very little apart from five minutes, and that was more as a result of our sloppiness. If we had Griff all game then this would have been a stroll, he was superb when he came on. Even if we played like this at home it would have been more straightforward.
You could definitely see there was a little bit more sharpness and intensity there tonight, still a long way from where we need to be. Brown looked much better than last week, although some of his passing was awful. Armstrong and McGregor both showed flashes of what they can do but were nowhere near their best, I thought Rogic was poor when he came on too. Sinclair's work-rate was sensational and you can see his touch and movement are getting there, but he is nowhere near peak yet. The same can be said of KT.
Another worry is Gordon's kicking, which was at the heart of that worrying few minutes just after the break, as was their ability to figure Hayes out quite quickly.

Overall it is just great to be through after a strange tie, Rosenborg's miss in Glasgow really came back to haunt them as they could create nothing tonight against a slightly sharper Celtic. Bring on the Maribor.

Thought we were good first half but poor in the second. Couple of players really need to get their act together for the next round.

Rosenborg were really poor mind. They had to park the bus against a team without a striker just to stay in the tie. That being said, they've played to their strengths and it was the right thing to do.

It feels like they're putting together a decent side and I think they're on their way back.

Your right but we didnt have much organization so when we came up against a half decent side they passed it about us. Better organized now which makes it a * load harder.

idk if its just me but sometimes when we have 3 men pressing just outside their box i get the fear!

It was Ronny's mantra and one of the main things he tried to get working but he never really pulled it off the way Rodgers has. Maybe it's just down to Rodgers bringing in a couple of quality players like Sinclair and Dembele that has been the catalyst for it, but we just look so much fitter and capable to play that way under Rodgers.

But I do agree it was the way Deila wanted us to play but for whatever reason he just couldn't implement the way Rodgers has. I think part of that is down to the fact that Rodgers commands respect and has the players completely on his side and it never looked that way under Deila.

And, of course, the fact that Brendan Rodgers is a superior manager to Ronny Deila. That probably has something to do with it as well.

As I said in a previous post, these two legs would be decided with the closest margins possible. Absolute buzzing seing us guarantee European games this season. Now that we're climatizing to playing quality sides I think we're going to the CL group stages. Mon the hoops

I would rather avoid them if they knocked Red Bull out.

Aside from a 10 min spell at the start of the second half, i thought we were superb, the work rate was excellent, it was just a case of remaining patient, as soon as we got the goal it was always gonna be an uphill task for them, well done Brendan and the Bhoys !

I honestly thought we looked off pace and toothless until Griff came on. Saying that I'm delighted we're through

Absolutely brilliant now that we can get a few guy's back, up to speed and match fit with league game's before our next game..

Tonight was massive in more than 1 way getting through. The win, clean sheet with no striker for the majority against a side halfway through a season. Yes please..

I don't know if that includes the parachute payment teams get if they fall into Europa pretty sure it's 2-3 million sterling.
