I really enjoyed those two games.

I think that's the most possession I've ever seen us have away from home in Europe.

I think there was only ever going to be 1 goal to decide it tonight, they knew as soon as we scored that it was game over.

Rosenborg are a much better team than I believed. They frustrated us and stuck to their game plan which was to contain us and pick us off on the counter, which they nearly achieved on a couple of occasions.

However, we were patient and although Forrest's first touch wasn't great and he missed a 1 v 1 against the keeper, he scored a screamer and more importantly a vital goal in Europe (not for the first time).

Once we scored and they pushed a bit higher up, we looked impressive, knocking it about at ease and playing out the end of the game in a professional manner.

1 more tie to go until we can heave a collective sigh of relief and relax to enjoy the main spectacle.

I guess the definition of irony is scoring a screamer to guarantee European football but in all likelyhood providing the required income to sign a new winger/striker (Roberts I hope)

As always, I tip my hat to BR

He has shown great faith in Forrest recently and his faith has been rewarded. I would have had him hooked, but thats why I'm sitting here

    what a manager

Pretty sure it'll be one of: Astana, Qarabag, Appel Nicosia, Slavia Prague and Maribor

Let's be honest. They should've won the first leg 2-0. We should've won 4-0 tonight.

They're half way through their season, we're still in preseason.

We didn't play our best in either leg, yet created more chances than them over the two legs.

There's a reason why Rosenborg haven't been in the Champions League for so long. Really poor, negative football. Surprising really.

I expected a very tight game and I'm absolutely delighted with the outcome. doesn't matter if we win 1-0 or 5-0 in the end.

Celtic better team maybe apart from 5 mins start second half had better chances and while the Norwegians had close shots they were from outside of our box! Celtic weathered the storm and while James had a crucial goal, I'm sure he'd even agree should have buried the second one. Looked more comfortable with a recongnised striker on and we terrified them in last 20 mins. Scott Sinclair did a lot of positive defensive work tonight. Jozo the Provo and Big Nir played well. Thankfully another few weeks to potentially strengthen and with an earlier posts suggestion of our potential opponents we shouldn't fear any them. Also good to get an Away win under the belt!

I want to congratulate you with a deserved win today. Rosenborg wasnt able to create chances on a solid Celtic-team on the day. To be fair the scoreline could have been worse as Rosenborg tried to lift their team in the final stages. I wish you all good luck in your quest for Champions League football!

Same here. I was bemoaning he I see not a striker. Which he isn't tbf and that showed in the 1v1. And I'd have had him out wide, but what a strike.

    What do I know!!
