Game was totally open tonight, every game is totally open haha. You lads played well, we played * terrible. We are only going to get better and if we have Griff back I cannot see us not scoring which puts it on your guys to score two which is possible considering you should of tonight but regardless Id still call us favs.

You got the tactics correct tonight but failed to take your chances.
Next week will be a different game with different tactics and i dont believe we will be as bad as we were this evening.
I think the fact you missed the chance of getting an away goal is something you team will come to regret.

An actual open game on the park as opposed to your set up tonight would suit us very well.

Hopefully, we'll learn what we need to from this game in preparation for next week. One of the problems was that we haven't faced a team like this for a very long time. We've had it relatively easy with regards to the level of opposition we've faced in Scotland, and Shamrock Rovers and Linfield possibly gave us a false sense of security, perhaps even complacency. Rosenborg are a competent team, who played to their strengths tonight and frustrated us in every way possible. We'll need to be much better next week. This was always going to be a difficult qualifier, where they have all the advantages from the perspective of competitive football, being half way through their season. But they're definitely not great, and they're there to be beaten if we can find a way to break them down (which should hopefully be easier, as they need a result next week just as much as we do). All we need is a quick away goal, and the whole tenor of the tie changes. We just need to have faith in Brendan and the team to make the necessary adjustments, and to make sure we play with the required mix of defensive structure and quick breaks. Playing with pace will be crucial. We definitely won't play as poorly next week. Have confidence. We can do this.

I knew that performance was coming. They are no mugs, but the lack of match fitness always shows in these games. We aren't ready to go into these important games with no competitive football under our belt.

Totally agree we should be pushing for a new season timetable to fit in with the Champions league and avoid the worst winter months

They looked fitter and better organised..

We had so many players off the pace, including big hitters like Sinclair, KT and Broonie.

Pass marks to Ajer and Gordon the rest were very poor.

We no focal point up front.

Every single * on here, since the day Roberts left, has expressed the need for a top right winger and it's cost us tonight.

Sinclair wasn't played upfront because there's no way he could have started with Forrest and Hayes on the wings.

If Reginiussen is injured for the away leg our chances are slightly better. He's solid as a rock in their defense. He would be our best cb if he was ours. Calm and collected leader at the back.

RBK did exactly what needed to be done, laying low and let our wings run at their backs time and time again. If their backs didn't catch our wings their cb's did. Luckily they did not score and the match in Trondheim will be totally different. They will push high for an early goal which will leave more room for our wings and a backroom striker like Dembele or Griff.

We missed boyata tonight. So often in tight and cagey games such as that we sneak a goal out of a set piece, and boyata provides a real threat in that respect.

Agree. Corners were shocking by the way. I'm not against short corners but at least have a plan.

Paddy never left, his club wanted him back.
the Celtic board knew that and they should have been looking for another player with his quality.

They had plenty of notice, has was only on loan.

i hope he makes it in englandshire , bcos if he chooses to come back to Parkheed its thro choice and not bcos englanshire thot he was not good enough.

Welcome home son, your heart is here.

They are 17 games into the season and we have had 3 or 4 daft friendlies.....its * time the SFA * changed our season running times to give us better match fitness in europe...it would help all the clubs.

Just home. Having had time to reflect I don't think getting a result there is beyond us. But we need to start a striker so praying that Griffiths is fit.

I'd love a switch to summer football. Far more enjoyable watching it in warmer weather as well. There are days in the winter where sitting outside even for 90 mins is miserable.

I think as long as we have a striker we will be favourites to go through. One goal away should be enough.
