Absolutely loved the banners and sing song tonight, absolutely top class from start to finish and I am sure the brethren from Belfast enjoyed it too. I do think that the GB should maybe have left out the image of the volunteer, not that I didn't like it, more that it might be what gives them enough to punish us. I think the republican implications were clear enough without it anyway!
Somebody also sent me a link to KDS where a couple of posters are claiming there was lads singing the line "and soon there'll be no Protestants at all" during OTOR, I assume this is complete bollocks? I just want to set the person(non-Celtic) who sent it to me straight. I am not sure if I am allowed link to KDS on here, I know some forums are funny about links to other forums, but it is in the topic 'Supporters Stuff' where it seems there are a few grumpy gussies.
Sorry to even mention it, just hate unfounded accusations like that and love disproving them.

Anyway, I * love the GB! TAL!

They as in the full celtic support ?? as imo 90 percent took part, or are you going to blame the GB for the rest of the fans singing.

Maybe, but is it right that a group of young men who have never lived through the troubles in Belfast should taunt people who have with such an image?

The GB have a history of going over the top on occasions and this is one such time. It was crude and nothing to do with Celtic Football Club.

Linfield have nothing in their imperial armour that can break the spirit of a Celtic man that doesn't want to be broken - Brendan Rodgers

Expect the club to try and limit punishment with a strongly worded statement.

UEFA should be looking at why we had to move the first leg in the first place.. fans, players, staff & officials all in danger of sectarian violence.

On the banner it's political, except a fine.

So they can taunt all they want with songs along with the majority of the celtic support, and every other away game, but cant hold up banners as they never lived through the troubles ?? * off. I would say most if not all linfeild fans were out marching last week celebrating the killing of catholics but i suppose thats ok too as they lived through the troubles.

Aw the poor Loyalists... upset over a wee banner..
Yet we had to move the first leg over fear of a reenactment of the Boyne where their fans a lot of that community would gladly still be up to their knees.
A community who have racially abused one of our players and stuck it on a bonfire.

Honestly * them and * you!

So, if you can't beat them join them?

We're better than that. The fact that away fans could attend yesterday shows that we are more tolerant.

The fact that we had more black players on the pitch yesterday than Linfield have probably have ever played for them shows you how colour blind we are.

The fact that we have more Protestant supporters in one block than they have Catholic supporters ever support them shows you how more inclusive we are.

We are better people than them and the banner yesterday should have been aimed at showing them how backwards they are. I'm not sure how to post pictures on here but something similar to the Crystal Palace banner aimed at Millwall fans showing them as knuckle daggers would have more than appropriate.

I trust the GB will hold a whip round to contribute some funding towards the inevitable fine coming our way?

Quite few people with sand in their vaginas because the GB showed a picture of a guy in a hat and sunglasses and sung a few rebs.

Away and lie doon in a dark room.

This is a scummy wee tinpot club who invite Flute bands named after killers of catholic/nationalist civilians onto their pitch pre-match for a sash bash. It was good to remind them that we'll never give up the fight for a United Ireland.

If that offends you then so be it. But your greetin', apologist stance is not in my name!

The club can just use the untold thousands they have made off GB inspired merchandise.

yes lets fine the GB for the whole stadium singing songs that are deemed offensive, or was it only the banners that offended you, the banners were imo on the edge as they had references to celtic, however the songs were pro ira or so we are told, but you find them ok, just the GB banners you dont like.

UEFA will fine the club because of the banner so why shouldn't the GB contribute to the payment?

If the club is fined because of the songs the GB can't, and should not, be blamed but if only because of the banner then they should put their hands up and admit responsibility.

They can't have it both ways.

The money made from the GB full stadium display should cover it

I agree 100%. It was a dumb thing to do and will just lead to more heat from UEFA at Celtic and more heat for themselves. I take no offence whatsoever at grown men playing rebel, but it was self indulgent in the extreme.

Maybe UEFA and Celtic Football Club will have a different opinion... Are the GB Celtic supporters or GB supporters, if the former there will come a time - one would hope - when they realise that they have a responsibility to protect the club from such controversy.
