BR on Izaguirre: "He's come back in and been training. There's maybe an opportunity for him to go elsewhere outside of Europe."

BR: "It's something we'll speak with him and his agent about and then we’ll take it from there."

he maybe doesnt want to stand in his way for for 1st team football, which is fair enough but is more than wanted here.

Hope he stays. We'll be struggling for defensive options if he goes soon.

Boyata is injured for a couple of months. Gamboa's injury sounds quite bad, I'd imagine he's out for a good while as well. Can't be getting rid of someone else yet.

He's looked sharp pre-season and linked up well with the new players.

I thought his wife and kids were settled and he was happy as cover. Hope he stays. Love the wee man, never hides and wears his heart on his sleeve.

If he goes we will need a back-up left back

Celtic loves you more than you will know.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him become GB Capo when he hangs up his boots.

If he goes then we'll need a LB in this window, could argue that was already the case but Izzy is sufficient cover if he stays.

If he goes I'll be gutted.

Shows you how things can change so quickly, literally like 10 days ago we had a full squad, then, we've lost Gamboa in injury on International duty, Boyata is injured then we find out Izzy could leave.

    Hopefully, he'll stay as back-up.

If we have a LB in mind I wouldn't mind him going.

Great guy and servant and although the 'fine for back up' argument is valid, if Rodgers feels he needs to freshen it up then I'd be fine with someone else coming in. Or likewise if Izzy wants first team football that is understandable.

Would maybe be good to have someone with a bit more pace and better delivery.

If he goes I think he will just use Hayes as the back up left back if required

Celtic have landed a £1.25 windfall by selling Emilio Izaguirre to Saudi Arabia.

The long-serving full back has agreed a two-year deal with Al-Fayha and the Hoops have raked in a tidy transfer fee for the defender.

Izaguirre, 31, has been in Glasgow since 2010 and has amassed six Premiership titles,
two Scottish Cups and two League Cups.

But he's opted for a lucrative pay day in the Gulf to play for the Al Majma'ah-based club and will join them in their Austrian training camp this week.

Celtic's Emilio Izaguirre was Scotland's Player of the Year in 2011
Al-Fayha won the Saudi First Division title this year and won promotion to the top flight.

And Izaguirre has opted to move to the ambitious club just a month after insisting he wanted to see out his career in Scotland.

He said: "The Celtic manager has told me he wants to keep me.

Kieran Tierney's emergence has led to Izaguirre's departure (Image: SNS)
"My wish is to stay for three more years with my family and then go to the MLS for two years and finish my career for four or five years at Motagua in Honduras.

"I have won many trophies and been treated well in Glasgow. * willing,
that's where my future will be."

    According to The Record...

If he goes he will be fondly remembered, done a real service to us hope he does well for rest of his footballing life and that he comes back as a fan!

Saying that I think he's poor now, good spl backup but 1.25m is a * great deal.

    Good luck Izzy lad

£1.25m is good business for us for a player who has been out of the starting XI for a while now.

It'll be sad if he goes given his contribution to our success but probably the best decision for both parties involved

Yeah if he wants first-team football for the last couple of years of his career he really has to leave. Good price for a 31-year old who has been back-up for 18 months now.

Does mean we need a replacement back-up Left Wingback though.
