Hmmm... some solutions... OK - maybe let's play 5-4-1 with one more defender and two defensive midfields with only Magic in the attack.

With Boruc in goal and nine man at the back we shouldn't concede so many goals and Magic will score something - I'M SURE.

Only an idea ... do you have any better ?

Doesn't anyone remember Wim Jansens first two games v hibs and dunfermline you have to give WGS time MON left an aging squad with no real competition for spaces. WGS has to have a season in charge if we win hee haw so be it I reckon it would be a miracle to do anything with current squad new players need time to adapt.

Im all for giving GS time but i must say i find it extremely worrying that he has spent the best part of 7 million on attacking options when its been quite obvious to everybody our defence has been creaking for some time...I always believed coaches built from the back

at last a decent critisim, it's been obvious since last season that defenders were our priority.

I thought camara looked ok pre-season but he needs to be dropped pronto the only problem is we have no replacement. I think laursen should of never of been let go.

Telfer has done some good things during the last 2 games but he's made a lot of mistakes too hopefully this is just lack of match practise but the sooner agathe is back challanging for that posistion the better.

Bobo/varga are finished i hope GS stick with mcmanus for another few games.

Well said Dubs. It is so so easy to blame GS and yes they are a fickle bunch. If we had have defended a bit better then it would have been a great result. At least Strachan has the balls to drop big Bobo instead of handing him a 4 year deal when we already knew he was crap. If he sorts out the defence and makes a few changes we will win a few games including the Old Fir game andthen all the doom and gloom merchants will be licking his * again. MON built this side not GS and handed a few of the 'old-pros' new 3 and 4 year deals before he left.
Bring on Nakamura, Virgo and co!

PS Camara was also 'spotted' by MON.

Got to agree. It WAS/IS time to build again, but I think very early mistakes have been made. I'd bet that all concerned have recognised this and I'd also bet that we WILL see changes, and soon. Time for cool heads, no panic, but some quick decisive action - let's start with the defence!

The way I see it, reminds me of the Broto situation. Everyone knew Broto was a great keeper, but MON had 2 keepers on big wages and 2 young keepers on the books.
WGS has inherited Balde and Varga, IMO Virgo will be a great signing, Nakamura looks class, Zurawski will be a great player once he settles, and Boruc will be Celtic's no 1 for years. We do have young players coming through as well, I believe given time WGS team will do the business. If he can sort out the defence, I think we'll be alright. Too many fans getting carried away, McLeish is not a good manager, and he has signed some real duds in his time, given European distraction, it could all work in Celtic's favour. Yes I'll miss European football, but if it's only for one season, and it means our new team gels and competes for the league and cups, then it's a price worth paying.
MON did it right away, but he did spend close to £20M to do it.
Give WGS a chance, I believe he will bring back attractive attacking football to CP, all he needs is a settled defence.

Whats worrying is all this talk of resentment towards GS from the senior players (most of which is probably malicious paper talk) if everyone backs his methods then he'll get it right.

But if the players get a petted lip and the board don't back him 100% then he's stuffed. He looks a very lonely wee man at the moment.

Id give him at least until xmas - as any replacement couldnt do much until the january transfer window opens anyway.

not a fan of gs thats why i voted for him to go. not because of the performances so far but because i dont think he is good enough for celtic.

as for today , 3-1 up then to throw it away for a 4-4 draw . thats not entirely gs fault , thats the team gettin to cocky thinkin it was in the bag. gs should have picked up on this and made the right changes.
i'm prepared to give him benefit of the doubt for now but he will have to start giving the team * , not giving us a * team .

Shut the * up. Celtic fans, boycotting games? That really would just be the end. For * sake even if you don't like the man - I personally do - the least you can do is say nothing if you have nothing good to say. To suggest we boycott games is a ludacrus idea. Give the guy time. He may not have the best track record, but he is with us now, so let's give him our full backing. I guess you won't be cheering the team on on Tuesday night? I certainly will be!
