No exactly hard to notice when they've spent about £150m and they usually spend a fraction of that :giggle1:

Be interesting to see how they get on, some decent buys but we all know money doesn't buy you happiness in the 'Best League in The World'

I actually think their signings aren't very good. Keane is better than they had but he's hardly top drawer. Klaassen is a decent player but I don't really see him changing much, hes not really a defensive or attacking midfielder and has fairly average ability and Rooney has looked done for years, I don't see where he fits in. Rooney and Klaassen don't have much pace either if they are going to play off a new striker. And the Keeper Pickford I don't rate, think hes a wee average keeper.

Look at who Koeman got for Southampton for a lot cheaper Forster, Lovren, Van Dijk, Bertrand, Wanyama, Mane and Pelle. I'd say they're much better than Pickford, Keane, Klaassen and Rooney.

150 mill on almost 32 year old Rooney. 30 mill on Michael Keane in the last year of his contract? 30 mill on relegated Goalie Jordan Pickford and Klaasen who I think is massively overrated..

Is that all of it? And the winger we wanted they've loaned back out..

    That's appalling business :56:

So VVD has said he won't go to any club but Liverpool.
It's supposed to be for £75m which means £7.5m for us.

It's weird how there are bargains out there but English teams would rather blow massive money on dross from their own League - Pickford £30million, Bolasie £30million, Keane £30million. There is no chance that there aren't at least a couple of dozen players scattered across Europe who are better than them who could have been signed for under £30million combined.

Still canny believe Everton paid £27m for Klaassen.

@Notorious @Doogsy. As you both know I grew up supporting Everton/had season tickets for them when I was younger (with always a very keen eye on Celtic) in the past (Actually got one each for Everton/Celtic this year continuing the Everton one week Celtic the next routine I've done the last few years) and its great to see them spending and making a big effort to make it into the Champions League. I just hope Celtic start splashing at least some cash soon.

Moshiri coming in has helped us on a financial level although I can't say I'm keen on the current corporate sugar daddy model we are copying from a lot of other clubs nor the fact Everton are moving from Walton which is the poorest constituency/area of Liverpool (Safest Labour seat in the UK) where both football grounds reside (Anfield etc) and moving to a plusher part of the city centre.

That said Rooney deal is a good one, far too many times the players have folded in winning/difficult situations and its needed players with that winning mentality and experience for some time. Lukaku leaving although a shame is also a no brainer. Romelu demands far too often the team to play solely around WHAT SUITS HIM. He has the arrogance of a boxer talking himself up constantly yet in 4 years with Everton his first touch/back to goal play and inability to score in big games (Even for Belgium!) remains * and yet he still goes on international breaks talking like a big shot and touting moves. Basically he is Man Utd's consolation prize for Morata

Seemingly he gets people trafficked by his agent as despite Chelsea winning the league last year and Romelu saying he 'wants to win the league' he's gone to a club that finished a mere two places above Everton instead as his agent gets more money off Man Utd. But Everton fans if you watch Toffee TV seem happy. The club has changed irrevocably from when Wayne left and hopefully he can end our 18 year Anfield Hoodoo by slotting one in the Kop End on the 9th December :D

Swansea want £50 million for Sigurdsson. Surely Everton aren't stupid enough to pay that...

    Just LOL

I seen Eric Dier was being rated at 50m and now this...

You can probably sign a better standard of player from Bundesliga, Serie A or La Liga for a quarter of the price.

Mental that Milan signed Calhanoglu for £17m and Swansea can demand £50m for Sigurdsson.

The more the money explodes down there the harder it's going to get to hold onto our players.
