    He was always a wee *. Willie McStay said he was always whinging when in the reserve team. I tend not to mind arseholes so much if they're good, but McGeady was a very medicore player who thought he was better than what he was. I was delighted when Boruc smashed his face in at Lennoxtown.

    Seems to matured with age i think though, ive seen a few interviews when he had a good season with preston last year, the fact he has went down south and could not establish himself at everton or wednesday and had to go to a mediocre club like preston to try and reinvent himself may have been a humbling experience for the better

    Heres a thought the season we sold mcgeady to spartak, does anyone think if we held onto him and boruc that season we might have won the league that season with the other players lenny brought in, that was a hard season to take as we all knew we should have won the league that year, the scottish cup dulled the pain.

    No. The McGeady sale basically funded the host of new players that came into that side.

    Hooper, Kayal, Izzaguirre, Majstorovic, Stokes, Mulgrew, Commons, Forster, Ledley etc.

    McGeady was very decent but not great. Realise this is Celtic heresy but I couldn't really take to him. Always thought he looked utterly miserable while playing for us

    Looks like he's joining Sunderland!!!! Delighted if true, get to see Mcgeady first hand again! Obviously, lot a bit of that earlier magic he had in his 20's with us (Celtic) but, very good season for Preston and will excite our fans and get bums off seats.

    Exactly what we need.
