The pressure any Manager goes through whilst managing a football team is GIGANTIC. I get so angry with all the anti-Strachan talk! It would be easy to have a great team if he had millions of pounds to play with. And on that note, it's not the Manager who's ONLY involved in bringing in the players. Folk who talk abuse about Mr. Strachan should shut up - they have no idea what goes on behind closed doors of a football club!

No - everyone is entitled to an opinion, but all I am saying is...A LOT more goes on behind closed doors than people know about. Before some sweeping comments are made - just bear that in mind. That is all I am meaning

 

Mate those of us who are a bit older can use their imagination and work out what goes on behind the scenes - footballers, managers, directors are just people and with a good understanding of people one can factor in things that go on behind the scenes. Or are you referring to something in particular which you know about and we don't ? (I ask because I recently heard a rumour which caused me some concern)

BTW WGS has been a disgrace in the way he treats the support with contempt. He deserves all the flack he gets.

 

We've all backed Strachan at one point or another and yes he has brought trophies in his irst two seasons and progressed in europe but this season is just now good enough for CFC, and its this season that matters...to me at least and Strachans team hasnt been good enough.

He's had 3 seasons to get his own team together and make it strongerso there can be no excuses. He's the man that makes all the signings and i could probably count on one hand the signings that have improved the team overall.

In my opinion he has to go at the end of the season.

i agree with backing him while he's here,but the lads on here oare entiled to there opinion,he needs to get things sorted quick,ok the players have to share the blame but th buck stops with the manager,losin today is not * on,he talks about needin to win our remaining games and then this,im * ragin,get thinks back to basics starachan,with the players we have we should be pushin that other shower all the way,i'll support whoever is in charge all the way but today im * ragin,come on bhoys a bit of passion with that jersey on ur back

 

What you mean like alienating players who don't toe the WGS party line, regardless of their ability. Excuse me for being presumptious but I thought a managers remit was to bring players to the club who can play and to coach and enhance the skills of the players he has in the squad, NOT leave good players rotting away on the bench and in the reserves. The reaction of Skippy today was one borne out of frustration and a lack of respect for his manager. Yes the player should be disciplined but that reaction gives us a snapshot of Strachan's dressing room...certainly not all sweetness and light I'd say!

As Manager he's an ambasador for our beloved Celtic yet he treats the fans, the people who pay his wages, with the same contempt he treats the media. He's smug and although I could handle that if we were doing the business on the park, we're rank and he just comes across as a condescending * and gives ammunition to the CFC haters!

As for the pressure...totally agree mate, managing is a high pressure job and managing Celtic brings with it even greater pressures. A great man once said the Celtic jersey doesn't shrink to fit inferior players....well, the Celtic manager's job doesn't depressurise to accommodate inferior managers. If he's not up to handling the pressure, then he should be man enough to come out and admit it, move on and allow someone else the chance to do something, before he puts us back to the level of Hearts, because on present form we risk playing a poor third to Motherwell next season.

 

I take your point, and you may be correct to a certain extent, but not fully. Unless you are behind the scenes, you never know the full extent of things.

 

Does that include you ? WGS is the manager, it's up to him to make sure things are good behind the scenes so that this carries on to the pitch. I sense you are hinting at something.....

I support the club, not the individual employees. If the employment of a certain individual is to the detriment of the club then I certainly do NOT support them.

Listen lads i'm one of these anti strachan boys i don't want to see him ruining a great club like celtic he has turned us into a mockery our defence is pish, the midfield and our strikers can't score but what i can't get is if you are anti-strachan it automatically makes you not a good supporter of the club. I go to the games every week, spend thousands every year on the club, back celtic when the chips are down but for * sake lads this isn't helping celtic with this tool in charge when somethings going wrong there needs to be changes. I think that the loyal strachan supporters have got to take a right good think because if you'se are willing for celtic to play pish football week in week out end up trophyless at the end of the season beaten by a very poor rangers team thats all very well but me as a celtic supporter i expect more of a higher standard.

Ok strachan won two league titles but remember those league titles were won against no competition at all. Took us to the last 16 2 season on the trot but this season wee scraped through by the skin of our teeth as we had to end up relying on benfica beating shahktar. He talks about toatal football you can probably take 4 or 5 times this season where celtic have played the celtic way how we should be playing.

I would love strachan to go as i feel he has taken them as far as he can take them but if he stays i will still back celtic all i want to see is celtic progressing i just don't understand how some people are settling for this * and his stubborn personality who doesn't take responsibility for his results on the park.
