Stop buying the * rags. It's simple. The only way to hurt these * is by affecting their circulation.

I am * stunned that any Celtic fans continue to buy the Record.

I stopped buying it as far back as 1995 when on the morning of the Cup Final it carried a full back page dedicated to the Airdrie players fears about 'Pierre Van Diver'.

    This ain't rocket science.

    Just dont buy it.

Look at the guys who write their columns???

The majority are unproven journalists and ex-pros trying to worm their way into the media.

Every sports columnist worth their salt or with any decent level of reputation has moved to another paper.

I havent bought it for 4 years.

there apology was pathetic and i wont be buying it again!

    great banner though !!

    * scumbags. How these * continually get away with this is beyond me. Real Radio let that other * off with it now this rag is at it. Not to mention the lack of outrage at this issue from the Scottish people outside Celtic. He was after all the greatest manager our country ever produced and it seems that no one gives two * if his name is slandered. Outraged!!

i remember a few years ago when celtic won the league they played hearts midweek (not the hartson winning goal one ) the next day in the day late record the back page had a photo of paul lambert and they had super imposed one of those popes eleven scarves on to him. it really was a crude attempt. that sunday in the sunday snail there was a monthly magazine for football and the same photo was on the cover. lo and be-hold the scarf was really a green and white hooped one. WHY !!! would any paper /journalist do that. never bought it since. one of the boys at work said to me today that it was a journalist that reported the chants in barcelona , my first thought , chic or one of those bawbags fae the record.

The Celtic Song so long as Dean Park doesn't sing it.
Completely agree, disgusting. The pun when put in context deserves a charge on the grounds of libel as it associates itself with the unfounded charges aimed against Mr Stien. I would hope that this is taken further and a formal complaint is made by CFC on behalf of his memory and his family. A minor apology is not enough as it demeans the opposition to the constant sickening unfounded accusations by the moronic few. I would go further and demand the author be sacked and the newspaper sued.

I kid thee not. However, it's a hun paper so * all will happen. :47:

The Only red top I buy is the Evening Times.
They had a great Sports editor Alan Davidson, who sadly died last year.
He used to write great articles, he used to quote Hunter S. Thompson in some of the stuff he wrote, no-one else has the balls to do that.

Was it an insult or was the caption trying to get back at the ones who offend Jock?

Mate did it ever occur that they might actually be having a go at those behind this vile campaign. As I said anything the Daily Record or the Sun for that matter say should be taken with a big pinch of salt.
