New top?

jo-jo is more qualified than me but I'd go a size up - kids grow quickly at that age and better to buy something that's still going to fit at the end of the season even if it's a bit baggy now.

 

I see there's a elite version, what's the difference?

 

I read that it was an embroidered badge rather than a printed badge. I hope it is that anyway, the printed badges never last. Embroidered lasts longer and will look classy for the 50th anniversary of the Lions.

 

Just was looking at the elite top on the website. No mention of an embroidered badge. Read that the elite top was 13% spandex so is probably just a tighter fit that the players will wear. £90 though

 

It's not too bad of a price compared to my D.C. United authentics. This is about $116 USD and I paid $125 for them. I do think at most they should be about $100.

Not sure if I'll purchase the elite version though. It's cool that they are swllong an on field version but I am not sure if the tight fit will be too tight or not. My Adidas ones fit a bit tight but there is enough breathing room.

 

Sometimes they are a bit too tight for my liking. Was over in Italy a few years ago and bought an authentic Roma strip. It was a perfect fit. Sometimes these tops are so tight it looks like you are wearing underarmour.

 

That is one reason why I hope we never go Puma I hear even their replicas are the tight fit

 

The Roma kit I got was made by Kappa and I really like that strip. I'm not too keen on puma football strips. I hope we get an adidas sponsorship deal when the New Balance one expires.

 

Could have some cracking away tops.

New Adidas kits are much better now with the stripes relegated to just the tops of the shoulders.

Also anyone else feel the Keepers top should have been a proper solid yellow instead of this neon pish if it's a 67 tribute?

The manager in the Celtic shop in Argyle st today said the away top coming out is the best one we will ever have had.I asked him to draw a picture of it to give me an idea and I wouldnt tell anybody but he told me I was a chancer.

 

Know what colour it is? Apparently it's dark green but there's a few rumours floating about.

 

Not sure mate, I think its bottle green and the 3rd is luminous green . Ive got a funny feeling its going to have a light print on it of the Lisbon lions or maybe I'm being hopeful.

 

Scheduled to arrive today. Can't wait.

Part of me hopes so, but we've also had such a wonderful season in the current shirt that it deserves a swan song.
