I'd rather take Ledley in the team than Biton.
Hope to * Biton doesnt get in the team.
If he does even if Brown plays a blinder Biton will negate any good Brown does.

How many were sideways passes, how many were forward passes it would be good to know... * sake.

He wins the ball he moves it on, he is invaluable to this team.

    Our most experienced European campaigner.

    This.

Don't know why people need stats to see Brown was immense for us in Europe.

I don't need them to see he was excellent in Europe this season. I know he was.

The point I'm making makes perfect sense. 91% is impressive. Yes. But if 9 in every 10 passes was a 10 yarder back to the centre half it doesn't really prove that he's an excellent passer of the ball.

I don't really care what the stats were because they don't tell the full story, I don't know how anyone didn't think Brown's passing was excellent in the CL this season.

The amount of times he took the ball under pressure and kept us a hold of possession was immense.

To be fair it's a credit to the other players as well, finding space & giving him the passing options.

I'm surprised this is even up for debate considering the season he's having. He has a very legitimate claim to being our best player this season.

I was a fairly big critic of him when we first signed him due to his high price tag and some sloppy performances. He's a completely different player now though and honestly he's the single most important name on the team sheet.

He's matured from a energetic, but often overly eager central midfielder who lacked positional sense and passing ability into a energetic, disciplined central midfielder, with the ability to give and receive the ball against any level of opposition. He's still got that hot headedness and desire to win which makes him the player he is, but he's added a confidence on the ball that he didn't have before, not to mention the fact that he absolutely is the driving force in the team.

I think some people might not realise what we have in Brown just now until he's gone. Even last year, when he was playing through hamstring tendonitis and was basically moving in treacle, we were much, much better with him in the team. We're going to have an extremely difficult job replacing him because we'll need somebody not only with ability, but also with experience and a commanding presence across the whole club.

I think Scott brown is a poor player but this season he has been brilliant I haven't had a single reason to complain and i used to a lot ! .even in Europe he has been so much better than anything previously,Strachan ,mowbray,Lennon or Della couldn't get this level of performance out of him Rodgers seems to have got him focused on his role in the team rather than allowing him to charge around the field trying to do everything and He's a far better player for it

Where are you getting the idea that he passed that many backwards?

They were posted earlier on in the season, the majority were forward passes, the reciever of most of them was to James Forrest. Had the best long ball completion rate and the most long passes in the team as well.
