I actually dont believe Rumble believed he could win that. He may have tried to convince himslef he could, naturally....but everything about the way he fought suggested his heart was not in that.

He isnt my fav mate, but how can anyone dismiss his ability or courage?

Genuine question here, how can anyone truly dislike this man?

Rumble though, what a true gentleman. He isn't in it any more the same thing happened to Brendan Schaub who retired at the right time too but could easily have fought on.

 

Going in with a KO artist like Rumble...twice, and seeing him off. Going in with JJ and nearly doing it, and looking to set up the return. Getting his nose broke and having the wherewithal to focus, tur up the heat and basically dismiss Rumble with aplomb! How can you doubt his courage?

 

For the record, im a big fan of Rumble....as much as a decent human being as a top fighter. Really lovely guy.

 

I'd love to see Manuwa knock him out, but Jon Jones coming back and just outclassing/retiring him would be perfection.

 

I like DC man, understand why people don't like his fighting style, but he's brilliant at what he does.

Hope Rumble isn't done for good. Would be a big loss.

 

That's not courage. He's doing what he's paid to do.
