Fs you could easily think some people just come on here looking for excuses to have a pop at someone.

This guy is right...you's need to calm down. I'd much rather have a neutral manager who is losing than a hun who is winning. * sake, imagine wanting to win trophies and not being satisfied with mediocrity. Shame on you all:84:

aye, it's not about that though. Smith is a man who was once quoted as saying "there's a protestant superiority complex about this club, you can feel it."

I don't give a * if he was capable of winning us the Champions league and 15 in-a-row. I'd rather have Strachan than him.

I've heard that one before...And people have different takes on the context of it, as if he wasn't saying that's a good thing just that it exists.. Which it certainly does.

I think the context was that he was proud of that fact. You can see it when he's sitting in the stand with Durrant with their Rangers ties on. It's the hierarchy thing, overseeing their empire. It goes beyond football I reckon....

This all depends... would Walter Smith be considered Celtic-minded?

Personally I don't care what religion he is, he could be a muslim who hated white British people, as long as he done the job in hand I'd be happy. First and foremost, he is a professional football manager. Just remember that.

I don't care what religion he is either. I'm an atheist myself. But I wouldn't have one of the dark side managing Celtic!

Anyway, it's a pretty daft rhetorical thread.

Stop living in the dark ages - if a managers going to come in and do the job then his previous employers shouldn't matter.

It's nothing to do with living in the dark ages. It's rivalry. Rangers are our bitter rivals. There have been times when Smith's Rangers sides have heaped utter misery on Celtic. I'm sure Rangers fans feel the same about Martin O'Neill.

I'm open-minded and all for players crossing the divide. But Walter Smith is different, he has Rangers ingrained in him. It would cause riots!

i worded it pretty badly it was late and i wasnt thinking straight. i wasnt saying who would you rather have even though i did actually say that. who do you think is the BETTER manager? although that in itself is a pretty stupid question as Smith has a far superior record. lose lose situation eh? anyway in terms of who I'd rather kick in the balls right now as i suggested earlier. I'd like to have a go at Smith. smug c**t.

Think it's safe to say it'll be a 67%% record by the end of the season though. Think what Smith has got going for him is a bunch of huns actually willing to work for him. The cretons all stick together, Smith, Ferguson, Hutton(when he was there), Adam, Novo etc etc.

The only guy we have who really actually hates Rangers is Boruc, McGeady & McManus.

I've had to think about this. Putting aside that he's a dirty hun to the end and WGS is a tim...

Personally i'd stick up for WGS any day, he's a class man and has taken us to good places but this season Smith has done better undoubtedly. The huns are top form this season and i can't see us beating them tbh... Esp if we're letting them get goals like last night. I don't know whether to blame Strachan or not though, something's telling me it's not his fault, we should give him a chance but i can't stand us playing like this. It's no on.

Still hate Smith's guts though, he's a dirty hun and always will be.

I'm not going to even vote. Do you actually call yourself a Celtic fan?

Some of the 'opinion' and comments on TC by so called Celtic fans on here is absolutely * shocking over the last 2 weeks. Here's another howler of a thread. No wonder we loose with such a fickle set of supporters, some shouldnt be let within 5 miles of CP.

Our strikers fail to put away sitters last night and the manager's head is called for without ONE bad comment about the finishing by the players. Get your heads out of your arses!
