I am not on here to gloat.

I am embarrassed more than anyone at such a display as I am older than most of you guys.

But with age, comes bitter experience.

I predicted a bad result tonight and mostly took abuse for it.

I predicted a lost league last term and mostly took abuse for it.

I left this site for a while as I was absolutely scunnedred to the back teeth by crass blindness to the facts in front of our eyes that people on this forum seem to ignore.

We have a team full of HASBEENS.

It is that simple.

The team is dead on its feet every game. EVERY * GAME.

One of the reasons for this is MON's STUPIDITY at re-signing players who ARE * FINISHED.

SUTTON is an INJURY LIABILITY now.

HARTSON is beyond correspondance with you.

THOMPSON is FINISHED and AWOL.

LENNON is FINISHED and AWOL.

The 2 full backs are quite simply NOT CELTIC STANDARD.

The 2 Center Backs are quite simply ATTROCIOUS.

Well lets look at it this way it could'nt get any worse could it?

 

Er Yes! Getting beat on Saturday. Lets be honest, Celtic are there for the taking and ALL SPL TEAMS KNOW IT!

 

Been singing from the same sheet. Seville should have been the end for most of the team, IMO Thompson and Lennon should be squad players not first team regulars. I think Thommo's place is up for grabs with Nakamura signing, surely this is Lennon,Hartson,Varga and Balde's last season at CP.
While they wear the Hoops I'm behind them, but surely its time for more youngsters to be given a chance.

 

Under the GS reign - goals for 2 / against 7 / 3 goalless draws. At least with * performances MON usually managed to get results. I honestly fear for us in the coming weeks until the team can settle down ... even then, who knows.

 

Maloney deserves a regular run in the team. I say try Maloney and Magic and see how they get on.

 

Most teams keep about 1 experienced player around the park to run things, then alot of young good players. * EXPERIENCE, we have so many older slower crapper players now. Id much rather see young Maloney all season than these hasbeens.

Im almost * certain they would have got at least a draw in that match. Even though some were unavailable, however. Its a much younger side.

 

Celtic need 2 cut their loyalties 2 the players that just expect 2 b put in the side. can some1 tell me if stan was even on in the game? i think i saw him once. same as hartson, not sure if he was actually on or off 4 most of it. however both their names were on the team sheet so either they were pish or my eye sight is leaving me when am just 17. aslo do u think Camara knows that he was playing as a defender? i again am not v sure... Very poor performance, Lenny bhoy, u need 2 take control now ur the captain. (well ish played my bhoy18). i must take a possitive from this which is probably, at least this is the start of the season and the bhoys know they MUST do much better 2 even get a * goal. Aiden was shockingly unlucky, infact poor 2 miss that, and david.... well i hope that performance at the end, (gd at the beginning) doesnt cost him his place. (but ill b happy with either keeper)

Of course. £20M plus a year in sponsorship, bigger and better players, a better standard of football, Celtic becoming a bigger global team.
Can't see too many downsides!

That was Neuchatel Xamax all over again - i was having vietnam style flashbacks all the way through the second half.

I'd quite happily write off the season and play maloney/beattie etc and gut the place of the over paid under achievers.

How anyone can give Hartson another chance is beyond me, granted the guy can finish but hes about as mobile as a brick. My girlfriend asked me "why is that big ginger bawbag playing - he doesn't run around much" and i couldnt provide a decent answer (and shes never watched a footy game in her life!).

Balde/varga/camara can gtf as well.

Telfer looks decent at best - but he's certainly no match for macnamara.

I think thats got to be the poorest celtic performance i've ever seen - and as someone who endured the brady/macari eras thats saying something.

The poor peeps who spent their hard earned going over there only to watch that tripe should have their flights paid for out the players pockets.

I imagine there are a few sore heads around this morning, a sickies, and a few torments happening in the West Of Scotland workplaces.

The easiest thing to reply to our adversaries is to admit thar we are * at the moment. Pure & Simple.

But do you know what bothered me about last night the most.........

Was it the 5 goals?.........NO.

Was it the impending mocking from the huns?.........NO.

Was it the expected backlash from the HUN Press?................NO.



I'll tell you what really bothered me........

It was the fact that we had a Brand New Manager, screaming his head off on the touchlines at a group of guys who should be trying to impress.......

But EVEN at the risk of being transfered or dropped that squad did not of the heart or balls to play like it was the most important match in their lives.

Lets face it. Maybe one or two of that squad are deep down Celtic people. the reast are their for the money. But even the heavenly wages they get cant raise the tempo enough to win a match. The squad is dead.

It is time for the biggest bit of BALLS and GUTS from a Board of Directors and Management Coaching team that we have ever witnessed or written about.

We NEED a major overhaul. If that meens dumping NOW, Hartson, Balde, Thompson, Varga, Camara into the reserves and bringing in young guys who are DESPERATE to play for the colours and are willing to burst their balls to win matches then we must do it.

WE HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE PEOPLE. WE have already lost the LEAGUE & NOW European football with the current squad.

IT is time for a seismic shift at CP.

 

Couldn't agree more HailHail - old guard needs to be removed for the sake of fresh blood youngsters. In one years time they will be our pride and armour in CL matches. Balde, Varga, Camara, Hartson - era of their safe sainthood is OFICIALLY OVER.
