    100% right.
McGeady is the ONLY threat in the team at the moment so it's easy to nullify him because hes the only one who can pull something out of the bag. Naka definately isn't doing it on the right and we don't have a proper goal threat coming from the centre of the park (I thought that Brown was that man). JVOH is shocking, just pure shocking.

the problem we have with mcgeady isnt te fact that other teams know how to deal with him. its the fact that they put 2 players to cover him and we dont have anyone else in the midfield helping him.

i thought at the start of the season that with brown and donati coming in that they would provide some threat through the middle and allow mcgeady to do what he can do best. but they havnt and were in the same position that we were in last season

He needs some help. It just shows how * we are that opposition teams (who must rate mcgeady higher than some of you do) put 2 players on him, and the rest of our high maintenence team cant use the extra space to create something. As for selling him everyone has a price, but we should not be looking to excuses to sell our best players ffs.

    Couldn't agree more..
Everything is going through him and if he has an off day there is nothing.Bit like Di Canio in his last season at times

Fancy footwork and the odd trick doesn't make you great unless you consistently create and score goals. In front of goal he gets a nose bleed every time, especially from close range for some reason. That's the part of his game he needs to work on.
Also his ball control should be better.
His pace on the ball this season has improved though.

You can only create chances you can't cross then run in and head them. The only thing inconsistent is he sometimes loses the ball when trying things which you can't chastise him for as he's doing it in the final third where you should have plenty of cover for any counter attacks.

The tactic of giving him the ball then expecting him to do it all himself has become pretty much useless you have to give him an option and hes not getting one the majority of the time. He's still the only player that looks capable of providing the spark we need.

well id find it a bit hard to get motivated since the hole teams playing * and wins the ball back wen ecry1 else losses it i watched him get it in defence run the full pitch and pass it to our atm balls frwrds

he is constantly double and triple teamed and our tactics are all aimed at getting him the ball. so you do the * math.

How come every other player seems to be heavily marked. Is it because VOH and Donati can't be bothered moving perhaps?

Its because the rest of our team is not good enough. Both center midfielders are pure *. The only decent one we have is hartley. Our strikers are all off form if voh was ever even on it. And our back four bar-hinkel are not celtic quality. Its a combination of everything. They look like that because every team in the spl is playing tons behind the ball and our team and tactics is simply not good enough to beat anyone like that.

the teams performance of late have been shocking and are main tactic is, ball to mcgeady. His direct runs get us up the pitch and the lack of support means he has to put a hopeful ball into the box, and even then he is always atleast doubled team.
more support and more bodis in the box would help a lot to see his same performance get a lot better
and in that has scored 8 goals in 21, which is a very good return for a wigner

I agree with a lot of your points there and you've said it yourself really, if all the opposing team's players are behind the ball then all the attacking players, not just McGeady are being heavily marked.

Its like Henrik. Teams know they need to snuff him out and put at least two men on him so the next stage for McGeady is to learn on how to create space for himself

We need Naylor to over lap Mcgeady when 2 or 3 players are marking him to pull 1 away and that lazzy * Donati to get forward and support them and he might pick JVOH up off the ground on the way because that is where he seems to spend must of the game.

i'd like to see aiden rested for the next game and give deek a game, he looks knackered and having at least two defenders on him every time he gets the ball must be taking it out of him
