Man v Fat Football

This is for the fellas like me who are carrying a bit of extra weight that can't hack the fast paced 5 a sides anymore.
It's called Man V Fat and you meet up once a week on a Sunday morning with fellow people like myself that want to lose some weight but would be comfortable doing it with guys a bit bigger with the same goal to get active and healthy again.
It was meant to start a few times but not enough people joined up, so now us that want to do it want to start on our own and do it off our own back. The goal is just to meet up once a week and have a game of football without the competitive hassle and getting us on a health kick.

They aren't doing it just now but we where fed up with it being called off and decided to try and meet up our selfs in the meantime.

Comfortable doing it with guys who are a bit bigger.

It's insulting enough to be picked as the goalie normally, but it would be soul destroying here.

Any of the bigger guys I play 5s with are usually lethal, poaching * who nutmeg some skinny spice boy and go on to score the perfect hat trick, half a few * then retire into goals :smiley-laughing002:

Thought I would give this a bump as the official league started up last Sunday at Glasgow Green in the afternoon from 12 till 1:30.
Some teams are a few players short and the guys have asked to share it again to see if we can get a few extra bodies.
It's a good laugh and the games are still competitive and the team names are pretty funny.
Would be great if one or two decided to give it a bash.
Also it's off on the weekend of the sevco game in march as they know most won't show that day anyway.

Forgot to add it's 6 a side we play and each team has a squad of 10 for rolling subs. That's why some teams are short.

You could have used better words that rolling and short for fat footballers.

Well there is a few questionable players there, the admin say they are just above the 26 bmi minimum. So if you think you are one of them you're very welcome to join bud.

 

This is an excellent idea, to be fair.

 

The only thing worse would to be picked as goalie here as well
