Give the guy a break, one shocker of a result and its curtains? What about when MO'N lost 5-1 to the huns? Did you want him to go then? Look what he done for the club. Gordo just needs time to settle, its * shocking that we had our first leg tonihgt, we should have had it next week.

Gavin Strachen defo deserves his chance. With Ron Hartson up front you'll be fine.

That's about the only valid point you've made tonight.
Give yourself a shake, your attitude is not going to win you many friends on this forum, it's far too early to judge Strachan, you can ram these words back at me if he doesn't come good, but by then I'll be surprised if you're still on this forum.

The point about Strachan not being up to the challenge is also valid, until i'm proved wrong. I'm never wrong though.

    Re: Give Strachan a chance.

    Pabs ,wake up
strachan is not up to the celtic standard, this is not the champ manager game
this is a real life football club with traditions and a history of great attacking
    football,
Gordon strachan is simply not up to the task as he is more used to managing
second rate teams who are fighting for their lives to stay up with their main aim to avoid relegation.
If you read strachans interviews he even admits it himself.
And he also admits he left his last job due to pressure all the time ,so what did he expect at celtic park?.
The guy must go cause where will he get the money for new players next year with no money from europe coming in ,and even if he did can he motivate and communicate with them, cause he hardly spoke to his players tonight ,
If that had been martin o:neil tonight on that touchline he would have had no voice left due to calling his orders as he seen the game progress .
    STRACHAN MUST GO

    Re: Give Strachan a chance.

As to me, Celtic obviously didnt have big millions to spend this season, and I think Strachan has enough experience of making something out of nothing, and dude what did Martin O Neill last qualify for CL, in Basel? How about you blame him for no money now and let Strachan do his job. You didnt have a chance to see the outcome yet

Result aside tonight,I have never liked Gordon Strachan & it goes back to 1987.MAN.U end of season trip in Malta. That wee * tried to nip my burd, big hiya to Mrs.s btw.In a night club in Sliema he was there with his Man u mates, tried it on with my now wife, she told him to come back when he could see over the table ya leacherous wee f%%%.His pick up lines are no better than his back line.Off ya go Gordy don't let the door hit you on the way out.

    Re: Give Strachan a chance.

I think Gordo should be given another couple of games. Loads of players have had nightmare debuts and coaches shouldn't be any different. Strachan is a witty, intelligent manager and we'd do well to keep him. It can only get better from here on, and I think the ginger's got enough in him to pull off something special. And if not he'll give us some cracking interviews.

You're not even a fan of this club. Selling your season ticket. I'd stick by the lads through thick and thin. Life and death. Sugar and salt.

    Re: Give Strachan a chance.

That's the problem, I really can't afford to keep the season ticket anyway.

As I said earlier, genuine fans like me are being priced out of going to Celtic Park.
