Hey there! I'm a Real Betis and Celtic fan from Spain. Last year I visited Paradise for my first time. It was in a game against Motherwell and I got the tickets through Celtic official web. Now I'm planning to fly again to see the Old Firm derby in march and I'd like to know if you think it will be possible to get tickets for that match. Thanks in advance.

Sorry, you have zero chance of getting a ticket for the match.

Real Betis? They wear one of the earliest Celtic kits :50:

But I'm afraid the players can't even get extra tickets for friends and family for this fixture so fans have extremely little chance. You could get lucky and find a person selling one but I wouldn't travel from Spain expecting that to happen because you won't be the only person looking for a spare ticket so it really is impossible.

I hope you manage to see it on TV.

Really? I have already booked the hotel and the flight. :56:

Any option? I don't care to pay something more to get the tickets.

If not, the option is getting drunk in the Emerald Isle.

Your only option is to maybe go to Parkhead on the day of the game and hope somone has a single spare ticket. But there will be other people doing this too so it's like winning the lottery.

I guess what you'll have to do is go to the Gallowgate and enjoy the game in a pub full of fans singing songs and generally creating an atmosphere like they are at the game.

Glasgow derby matches are probably the hardest tickets in the world to obtain if you're not a season ticket holder. I think it's easier to get CL Final tickets.

Yes, mate. We owe our green & white colours to Celtic FC and we wear them since 1911.

Thanks a lot for the info.

Go to one of the Celtic pubs on the day.

Your only hope is to contact Celtic Supporters Clubs and ask them.

This is remembering me to 2003 UEFA Cup final in Seville against Porto, with thousands of fans looking for a ticket. I've been before in the Gallowgate and the pre-match there is great, but I want to try to see the match in Parkhead and insult live the Huns. :giggle1:

There is always spares being offered on the day even against those *. So get down early and your chances are good of getting one. Only a tout will be asking for more than the face value.

Best place to try and pick up a spare is in the pubs on the Gallowgate, where the supporters buses park up or in front of the Superstore / Celtic Pools office.

Date and time has yet to be confirmed so be prepared for that. This will be on TV so a change of time or date is a certainty.

Well, there were limited number of extra tickets on sale for the one in September (to ST holders), so it wouldn't be impossible to get one if you could get someone on here to and they were lucky enough to get onto the website at the right time.

It's difficult but I'd say you stand a small chance of getting one.

Better chance for this than the 5-1 I'd say..

No such thing as "zero chance" you'd be surprised at how many spares are around for any game no matter how big, once took me getting on for an hour once getting rid of a Huns at home ticket for the last ever game when we beat them 3-0, was competing with about another dozen or so with spares

Get up there as early as possible and don't be afraid to ask everyone in sight and it's unlikely you won't find something, I've even done that at Tynecastle and had one in less than 20 minutes

Ones are a possibility pairs are almost zero chance, I wouldn't even try

Back then though there was probably only about 44,000 season ticket holders, so near 10,000 tickets would have went on general sale or to season ticket holders whatever they call tht same thing. So it was quite easy for loads of people to get tickets.

Now theres about 52,000 season ticket holders so theres barely any paper tickets available, probably less than 2,000 which makes demand a lot bigger because they are more limited.
