Love the big man but * me worse than Bitton for not passing forward, never passed it once to Roberts when he came on just always back to Jozo or into Bitton. We need a right back that step upto this level and we will be set defensively next season, showed great restraint for not reacting to that wee diving cheating *.

Sorry but I stand by what I said previously - everyone has to stand up and dig in - not just
a few. He looked like he was wetting himself when Naymar faced him up.
I also had one other worry before the game -how many free kicks would Emilio give away along the 18 yard line and got it wrong -he did it in the box while allowing Suarez to pull his arm around him -niave and predictable.
Nobody said it would be easy but we didn't help ourselves and the damage was done against Borrussia.

Oh and Lustig was "Wetting himself when Neymar faced him up" - yet more nonsense. Neymar was quiet last night and Lustig played a huge part in that.

Did you guys watch any more than about 20 seconds of the game ?
Read a game properly - better still, go to one instead of watching TV- it will heighten your enjoyment immensely.
I don't have it in for him - Like most honest fans, I want him to succeed but will never happen.
OK, live with him and we will always be vulnerable- face up to it ,he is not good enough .

You've stated on here your Wayne's call him lustiback or whatever it is before we all get it ....

 

I have only watched the first 45 minutes. I thought he did OK, but he certainly wasn't up to his usual standards. Did you watch the Man City game? He was incredible that night. I don't think one not-so-great game is really a reason to ditch him TBH.

 

The last few pages have been entertaining.

 

Or how about you just accept that you're wrong? Look at what he's achieved in his career. You don't win things, as often as he has, being *. He was just at the Euro's in the summer there btw... You are aware of this eh?

Was Lustig at fault for any of the goals? I appreciate Louie isn't his biggest fan but I don't know what he did or didn't do last night that is causing him to get so much grief. Izzy was the crazy one with the penalty. I don't know if anyone can be blamed for the first goal, that was pure genius movement from Messi and a brilliant chip from Neymar. Should Jozo have been marking that space? I don't think it was Lustig's responsibility?

As far as Lustig passing the ball across the line or back again then that's probably Barca's pressing that prevented an out ball?

I would have to see it again to study his movement in bringing the ball out. But if he passes it to Bitton then it's up to Bitton to move it forward, that is his position creative midfielder. So it's only natural for a defender to pass the ball to him?

 

I don't think he's good enough either, I've been shying away from thinking that this season as comparing him to last season he's 100x the player. However he offers literally nothing going forward and tends to play the ball backwards mostly.

He's good defensively however we need a better all round full back.
