I don't get Forrest either, he's had a great season so far.

While improving going forward, we can't leak goals so important we have strength running all the way through the team.
As a kid many years ago I played with ex-pros and was the only one running around and still couldn't win the ball !!
Nice to have pace but not necessary in some roles/teams.
Brown is one of the first names on my teamsheet (and Sviatchenkjo) as his influence and committment is second to none. He runs a tight ship and can't see anyone else in that role for a year or 2 yet .

He's improved, no doubt. But I think other than the first 5 or 6 games, he's not been great.

What a load of nonsense. He had a 3 or 4 game dip in form, apart from that he has been good.

Would you keep Bitton and drop Brown?

For a wee while now a lot of us have been wanting Roberts back in the team because Forrest had started to revert to type - so to speak.

I missed the game on Friday there and by all accounts he played well, so fair enough there. But I think I'm right in saying Forrest hasn't scored in a good few games now. He's still working hard but his end product has dipped big time since the start of the season.

Mind you, you said a good five or six games and I said pish, his form dipped for 3 or 4 games.

Haven't we only played about 11 league games? :giggle1:

Rogic is next on the teamsheet after Broony for me. Armstrong I'm quite hot and cold about because of his good points and bad points.

I would prefer Roberts to play instead of Armstrong if it was a choice. You are right though, Brendan does like Armstrong. He has been playing some good games though. But he's * risky. Even though Forrest has been playing well I would still pick Roberts, as I said that bit of invention he's got, Forrest doesn't have that much.

I would like to see Forrest's assists and goals stats and compare them to Roberts last season to see what they are like. It would be good to see both of them in the team, put Paddy more central with Rogic and we'd open up some good defences with Sinclair and Forrest on the wings. Rogic and Roberts would love playing together, both skilful players on the same wavelength.

He has been rightfully called out once or twice recently and Roberts put in (which I've called for as well, but still something not right with him?). It paid off up at Dingwall but other than that, Forrest has firmly nailed that spot..

I think we have to give him a bit of leeway here. He's been completely transformed adding a trio mix of everything we haven't seen before as a collective. Workrate, goals and assists and vital one's, consistently..

I don't think we can expect him under just a few month's, to be smashing it in every game, but he's been excellent this year. Was motm by a fair bit on Friday night again I thought, and unlucky not to score a brace. He'll start on Wednesday, and barring injury, probably again on Sunday, such is Brendan's confidence and trust in him..

It's tough on Roberts as I massively rate him, but that injury looks like it's really hampered his season and loan here, as he's yet to really get up and running. Little flashes of it at time's, but Brendan clearly wants more..

He tried him in the hole, and it didn't overly work, but I'd try that again domestically at home definitely. It has potential that 3 in behind..

    Fair play.

Like I said, I missed the game against Killie so if he did play well then great. Hopefully he does get more consistency to his game and play like he did at the start of the season. Just feel like his contribution in the final third has been quite underwhelming as of late.

I definitely think that Rodgers isn't Roberts' biggest fan because he doesn't work hard enough. If he put in a similar shift to Forrest he'd be all the better for it.

It has been off, no doubt about it. Was noticeable and why he was dropped for a game or two..

That's exactly what Brendan thinks, and I'll tell you what, Pep isn't too far away from that thinking either..... So he'll be surplus at the Etihad if he can't adapt his workrate/pressing /defensive side of the game..

Hopefully Brendan can work on that side of his game because in an attacking sense he brings so much to the table.

It's weird that he was such a standout last season and we've barely seen him this season.

    Injury..

I can't think of any other reason as look at him away in Astana. Guy was absolutely unbelievable and felt like he was our only player going forward. Ruined that Shonko ridiculously, and after getting some heavy treatment once or twice from the hacking *'s..

He then picked up injury, and has still struggled since, even though he's fit now. Shown moment's and flashes in fleeting appearances, and especially at Dingwall but nothing like Astana away, or ruining the Sheep at Celtic Park..

I genuinely hope Brendan can get him firing properly again, as if he does, Roberts is a top, brilliant flair player. It'll feel like a waste of a season loan, and we'd be unlikely to see him back again for an extended loan..

Would have * loved to see him deck that Neymar * after Neymar pushed him over and tried to act the hard man.

Thought he was given very little help from McGregor tonight but he coped with Neymar well. Just so reliable.

Aye, was left exposed with Neymar and Alba overlapping all night. He was visibly exhausted like all that started with 20 minute's left..... To the point every pass to him he didn't even try and trap, it was immediately passed on constant..

Big man's commitment is first class..

Neymar may be some player, but he's a sad excuse for a human being.
