Didn't see any other match chat threads so decided to make one lads:

    Venue: Nou Camp
    Date: Tues 4 Mar
    Round: Last 16
    Kick-off: 1945 GMT

Gordon Strachan says there is plenty of pride at stake for Celtic in the second leg of their Champions League tie against Barcelona at the Nou Camp. With the Hoops 3-2 down from the first game, the manager said: "We are angry that we lost the first leg although we understand that we played a great side.
"We want to leave Barcelona players and fans with a good impression of us, that's what we are going to try and do.
"Hopefully the Nou Camp does inspire the players."

The Glasgow outfit will have to win their first-ever away game in the tournament if they are to make the quarter-finals.
And Strachan added: "You always want to win every game for your pride, it's a big thing in football.
"There is nothing wrong with a bit of fear sometimes - it can push you on to greater things."
The Catalan giants suffered their first defeat in 16 games when they lost 4-2 at Atletico Madrid on Saturday, and sit five points behind La Liga leaders Real Madrid.
However, Strachan feels that will have little relevance.
"They started the game well and lost a goal through a deflection and then went into shock," he explained.
"If you watch any of their games, they invariably have more chances than their opponents."

Meanwhile, striker Georgios Samaras has urged his team-mates to use Greece's surprise Euro 2004 triumph as motivation for the daunting task.
"You have to believe in dreams and miracles," he said.
"We are going to attack, to pass the ball, you never know what can happen."
Samaras, 23, who is on loan at Celtic from Manchester City until the end of the season, said the team must not collapse in the Nou Camp.
But he conceded that Celtic would have to be at their best to progress to the quarter-finals.

"The way Barca play is phenomenal, we saw in the first game how they pass the ball.
"One thing we must do is try to press them more, so that we can have the ball more than we had in the first game.
"But we are going to Barcelona to enjoy the game."
Samaras said he was enjoying his time at Celtic and was determined to help the club secure honours this season.
"I wanted to play games to help Celtic win the league and thought Celtic could help me to go to the Euro 2008 finals in the summer," he said.
Strachan has to decide whether Mark Wilson or Paul Caddis replaces cup-tied right-back Andreas Hinkel.
Caddis made his European debut in the first leg which Celtic lost 3-2 but was replaced in the second half by Wilson, who is fit again after being out since last September with a knee injury.

I had the oddest dream last night. I was watching this game. At half time it was 6-6, all of Celtic's goals coming from Naylor!

I would like to see this team play tonight, its the best defensive option as well as attacking in my opinion.

    Boruc

    Caddis--Caldwell--McManus--Naylor

    Hartley
    Nakamura--Brown--McGeady

    oh yeah Robson

    Samaras

    IMO, we have two chances:

    1. We score first, preferably late on. There is always a chance we could steal another.

    2. Its open and high scoring (say 2-2 well into the game) so the away goals thing is cancelled out if we nick one. I take it that would be extra time etc.

Both are unlikely but they have a dodgy defence so maybe no. 2 is possible

    ..........................evil waving pole:56:

    Caddisinho.........whipping boy........... Mick......... Naylorinho

    Nakinho..............brooninho........Zico......aidinho

    .....................skipinho JVOHinho

Our main hope is their defensive weakness. If we can get the ball whipped in a lot we will score. I think if we are getting no joy we should take Skippy off and put Samaras on so we have a huge arial threat. A lot depends of the FBs being on top form for us because they will need to put in a big defensive and overlapping shift. I just have a feeling we will do well but not sure if it will be well enough. I certainly think we can score one or two but not sure we are up to stopping them scoring. I picked hartley because I think he tracks runs better and Donati was not brilliant v Hibs (its hard to choose between these two).

I like our chances. We could have easily have won the first leg if we had just managed to control possession a bit better.
As we learned from the first leg, get the ball to McGeady, he will slip through their defense and set up JVoH/Skippy/Samaras and before you know it we're 4-1 up!!

:56: Can I have some of what you are smoking:50: I wonder if there is an arguement to play both JVOH and Samara at Skippy's expense. I am sure if we got crosses in they wouldnt be able to handle that arial power.

our mean weakness will be the opposite team - barcelona.

    Some news:

Touré Yaya and Bojan Krkic are back in the squad to face Celtic on Tuesday, whilst Edmílson and Giovani miss out in the 18-man list named by Frank Rijkaard this evening.

Toure Yaya missed out at the weekend for the game against Atletico Madrid, as did Bojan, who was today given the medical okay to join the squad, with Rijkaard deciding to leave out Edmílson and Giovani Dos Santos for tactical reasons.

    Bojan given medical OK

Bojan was given the thumbs up to rejoin the squad after recovering from the injury which he picked up in last week’s Spanish Cup semi-final and which kept him out of Saturday’s game in Madrid. The youngster’s inclusion in the squad again opens up the chance for him to become the youngest goalscorer in Champions League history if he can score tomorrow night..

    Márquez to start light training

Meanwhile, Rafa Marquez is still not over the injury to his right foot, despite considerable improvement and the club’s doctors revealed that he will start light training on Tuesdays, but remains unavailable for Rijkaard at the moment.
