You do know that good footballers seldom make good coach's, probably be a great coach then, but I wouldn't want him near our club, horrible *

Lets put it this way,do you think Toure has helped improve our defence just by being on the training ground with the squad?I'd say he's probably had a great influence on the whole team in general. It would be the same having Gerrard there for a season or 2.You're just against it cause you support the worst half of Manchester.

Raise our profile, give pointers to our young midfielders?

If he could do those two things while playing a few games and selling a shitload of shirts then bring it on.

I'd take him in a heartbeat. However it would need to be 18months at least. Don't need him to win domestic cups and title, but he'd be handy for CL next season.

Judging from his autobiography I think he'd make a great coach.

I don't particularly like Gerrard as a person always thought he was a miserable * who said erm to many times and don't like Liverpool either however this would be a win win signing for us whether you like the guy or not.

He can still play make no mistake about it, he would be able to control games easy in SPL and would be an experienced option for Europe someone who can calm the play and play the ball about and agree with comment's above about the effect Kolo has had on us I think Gerrard would do a similar thing, play every few games and be that experienced head in midfield feeding the ball forward. Theres also the benefits that he can pass on such great knowledge to younger players and then there is if we get him into the coaching side he will have links and again great knowledge to pass onto not only our younger players but experienced ones too!

If we get the chance to take him we should
