Love hearing women play guitar as good as guys, it's such a male dominated instrument. Her timing in that classical song is incredible.

    * that song is the epitome of the middle of the middle of the road nonsense folk used to buy in the 70s and 80s. Reminds me of rubbish like Eagles, Glen Cambell and The Carpenters all to name a few that seem to get an easy ride over the years. The stuff Bowie, Pink Floyd and the likes were putting out at the time was far better and ahead of their time than the so called music being put out.

You're forgetting the diversity of peoples' taste in music. Loads of people who like the Carpenters wouldn't be into Pink Floyd. The Eagles were big for a reason, even though I'm not a big fan I can tell they were a bunch of very talented musicians who wrote some big tunes. Hotel California being the most classic. I don't know anything about Glenn Campbell. I'm sure his story is the same as the others though, if a musician is talented enough and grows their own fan base then you can't deny them that.

Also comparing bands to Floyd and Bowie is a bit unfair, they are giants of music, it's like comparing Oasis to The Beatles. I like Oasis's first two albums and if someone pointed out the Beatles are a much better band I don't think that should put me off listening to them, I just think I should be able to listen to both. Everyone's album collection has a wide array of talent in it but at a certain limit talent becomes good, then after that there is genius which is what you're talking about. That is quite rare.

EDIT: * it, I just realised you might be totally at it :43: So I'm going to Like your post just cause I fell for it :drag:

Bands like the Eagles and Fleetwood Mac are drivel. They were big because what they produced was unintelligent dumbed down music for the masses. No joking around here.

Peter Green was one of the all time great guitar players, I don't think Fleetwood Mac were dumbing down.
