    Would you?

    Why would you think that?

Any normal person would check it out and ignore any * they see. It's not hard.

I was wondering what this line meant. It's a poem he wrote.

I see his blood upon the rose

Thanks for that. I've always wondered what the line "I loved so much that I could see his blood upon the rose" meant. Now I know.

The last two things on his mind as he went to face the firing squad were obviously his wife and his *. Had I a wife, I believe I would be the same.

    Joseph Plunkett. RIP. :shamrock:

    That is really * deep.

Reading it back armed with your interpretation, you can only see it that way.

Just when you think you have stripped back the layers of that song.

    Brilliant.

Because when I went to watch Youtube videos about the Easter Rising there was loads of stuff and I don't know which media outlets swing which way, so a few minutes in i'd be turning half of it off.

Any normal person, is that you is it? :smiley-laughing002:

What's great about McCann's version is he tells the story as a prelude before a wonderful rendition.

Not feeling it myself tbh. Sounds decent being sung at the games though.
