yeah i thought it was a stick on we'd be out after the 2nd goal

even put a thread up asking why are we so * away from home is it because our homegrown are weak because lets face it we always seem to have players who dont seem to perform away normally its 2 not putting in effort then that spreads to being torture for the rest of the team getting gang raped by the opposition

every away european game and especially in the qualifiers

if any of the mods can tell us why you closed my thread please as i think it would be valuable to try and get to the bottom of why we have consistently invisible performers away from home in europe, if we could find out the reason we wouldnt need to see them invisible performacnes anymore

and ofcourse i am ecstatic at getting through but one gold medal doesnt compensate for a 1000 performances where there are lads not putting in the effort

me.i honestly didnt think we could hold them off for another 40 plus minutes no chance.

credit to the team for holding out.we did look a lot safer at the back when we changed it about.

always thought we were unlucky against malmo and maribor.we got a bit lucky but we deserve it for a change.

Haha, good thread. I was cursing every player; yelling Rogers is overrated; and ripping up the season ticket. I was a mess, man.

I turned to my mate and said "Is it too early to be thinking about the Europa League?"

When BT advertised the Europa League on Thursday nights during half time I nearly felt like crying.

    Me.

    That second goal...

That was like 2 drunks on a Sunday morning. No team concedes a goal like that... Except us. And it had to be in the biggest game of our season.

That was absolutely brutal viewing. I'm just glad we made it.

I ended up having my hands behind my head cringing from the 60th minute onwards! i was 100% certain they were going to score a third, i think i repeated 'they're gonna * score' about a 1000 times!

Me, I was devastated, was like watching a remake of the same old movie with new directors.

It was the same when the second went in last week.

That's two huge scares we've came through we wouldn't have in the recent past IMO.

That being said there is plenty of work needing done, but hopefully Brendan knows what's needed.

Back in the big time :shamrock:

I am the calm and optimistic one usually. Tonight I was all over the place and 99.999% sure we had lost.
