    Scoring free kicks has always been a beautiful work of art for me.

    The obvious memories are Lubo, Nakamura and Alan Thompson.

    I've often discussed FK's wi mates and argued about it, essentially arguing who you would rather have there standing over the ball at that time of need....

    Whae dae ye pick??

    They ALL took some * screamers and all of them on a regluar basis...

    FK's specifically..

    Naka = Man UTD x 2
    Thommo = HUNS & Liverpool

    I dont think the "not even close" post was fair....Thommo scored some screaming FK's

    Nakamura, Different Class.

    Free kicks within 30 yards were as good as penalties when we had him.

    Does anyone know how many of Nakamura's 34 Celtic goals were freekicks?

    Naka also scored one against the huns. Sorry pal, but Naka runs away with this. He was a master.

    Thompson was a totally different type of freekick taker, most of the time using power.

    Nakamura was pure and utter technique, the swerve he could get from a dead ball situation was phenomenal.

    There was only a SINGLE goal of a difference between Naka and Lubo!

    I always remember the one vs Killie to clinch the title.

    What a specialist he was.

    Naka scored 14 competitive freekicks(i think)

    Lubo hit 4 competitive ones, 5 overall.

    If Lubo only scored 4 or 5 Free-Kicks in his entire career at Celtic, then * me.

    They must have been THAT good that i considered the wee-magic * a * specialist.(He was special at everything ELSE of course!...)

    but I could have swore any a free-kick he buried.
    Specifically, I remember absolute SCREAMERS against Motherwell, Livingston and Man Utd in I think Gigg's testimonial.
    I ASSUMED more !
    Sorry lads, just the Guinness talking, i suppose !

    (Thommo took some * dead-balls though...never forget!!
