    Celtic and Barcelona have met each other six times before in European Cup competitions; Celtic have won once, Barca twice and three matches ended in a draw.
    Their last meeting in Glasgow was on 14 September 2004, when the visitors won 1-3. Goals that evening were scored by Sutton (Celtic), Deco, Giuly and former Celtic hero Henrik Larsson (all FC Barcelona).
    In the previous season, Celtic eliminated Barcelona from the Uefa Cup fourth round. On 11 March 2004, the Scottish club won 1-0 at home, and Barcelona subsequently failed to score in the return leg in Nou Camp (0-0).
    European history
    Celtic have won the Champions Cup once, in 1967. They were the first British team to win the trophy. Last year, the Scottish champions reached the last 16 and were knocked out by AC Milan (0-0, 1-0 AET).
    FC Barcelona won the Champions Cup/ Champions League twice, in 1992 and 2006. They have also amassed four Cup Winners' Cups (1979, 1982, 1989, 1997), three Uefa Cups (1958, 1960, 1966) and two European Super Cups (1993, 1998). Last season, they reached the last 16 and were beaten by Liverpool (1-2, 1-0).
    Current European form
    Celtic have won their last three CL home matches, and are unbeaten in nine at Parkhead.
    Barcelona have not lost their last five CL away matches. They are unbeaten in seven Champions League matches, since a 1-2 home defeat to Liverpool in last season's second round.
    Player and disciplinary info
    FC Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard and Celtic's Scott Brown are suspended for this match.
    Yaya Toure and Lionel Messi (both FC Barcelona) will be suspended if booked.

    Uefa Super Cups, Intertoto Cups and the old Intercontinental Cup competition are excluded.
