There is more value than there has ever been or rather less bad value than there has ever been. It's not that long ago you had to bet on games bookies had an in built 12% advantage built in those days are gone.

If you want to bet on the football then you really should be largely only using the exchanges.

Wish you all the best on trying to quit it. Lucky enough I only gamble on football and only during the season. If there's a game on more than likely I would bet on it but I know when to stop.

I've been with my mate plenty of times, (massive addiction to gambling) he's got his wages at 12pm on a Friday and by 12:30pm his months wage is gone, literally. Just feeds the machines with notes and keeps trying to chase his losses.

Australia is rife with it. You can bet on this weird lotto thing in the pubs with multiple draws an hour.

Not as hard as it is to be original, apparently.

My granny used to say there's 3 people taking your bets but only one paying out.

My family have a love for gambling. And if you ask anyone of them then they would tell you it's a curse.

I'm 32 now and I estimate I could be anything around 50k in the red.

My last big bet was just over my months wages on Chelsea to win the league last season at 6/4.

My brother yesterday counted up his stakes and gambled 5200 pound and won back just over 4500. He is only 25 but is living away from home and I think gambles out of boredom.

If I had any advice to a big gambler other than stop, would be do research bet in singles, maximum one or maybe two a day and NEVER chase

Good luck to you mate, I enjoy a flutter quite often now but I can take it or leave it. I've never been to a casino or played slot machines or anything like that, complete mugs game as far as I'm concerned.

Agree if you can get matched on exchange, and often on the obscure bets that have value and betting groups have tipped you are unlikely to get matched. I don't bother with betting on football anymore. I used to spend hours looking for value or wrong priced odds or fixed games, looking at betfair graphs for anything dodgy and watching rball on 365 24 hours a day. I'm so glad I don't bother with football now as it's a horrible sport to bet on so sweaty sometimes and so stressful.

I had a few bets in the Euros on mainstream football on exchange but I think football is difficult these days to profit from. I mostly bet on boxing not because I'm some expert I just think it's easier sport to bet on and make profit.
