Celtic are poised to run the rule over a second China international.

Bhoys boss Gordon Strachan is due to look at Shanghai Shenhua defender Du Wei in training next week.

But Strachan has also invited Wei's compatriot Xu Yunlong to Glasgow for a trial as he looks for further additions to his squad.

Yunlong currently plays for Beijing Hyundai and would not cost a significant sum if he impresses Strachan.

The 26-year-old played for China at the 2002 World Cup in the Far East and featured in his nation's three group games. The right back's anticipated arrival at Parkhead next week, though, could see him miss Beijing's prestigious friendly against Manchester United.

We need to start from the back forward, we have strikers, we have brought in Ali who can playmake behind the front two, but if Varga and Balde continue to hump high balls forward were going around in circles. Perhaps with the injection of some youth, and if we do get nakamura and du wei we'll have pace and forward prowess, sometimes Balde needs a boot up the * and told, to calm down and let the forwards play forward and the defenders defend.

 

The more defenders we can get in the better, our defence is sooo thin and Bobo and Varga are terrible.

hes alright, played pretty well for his first outing against Fulham, unfortunately got hurt yesterday. not a bad player but i have my doubts over his future as a first-team regular.
