Battlefield reveal on friday....i have a feeling its 2143 and i hope its not as the game will be future based and suck big time like CoD.

they need to go back to WW2 or keep it modern day. infinity ward remastering CoD 4 could swing the sales towards CoD again.

would love a 1942 or Bad Co 2 remaster

Has to go back to 42....been paying Bf since 1942 back in 2001.....* stunning at the time...still play it now in fact.

If they go into the future again its *....cant be arsed with nano suits and * all over again

1942= Uboats/subs , aircraft carriers, planes ,artillery, water mines, depth charge, iwo jima, flak cannons, thomsons etc etc

I only bought Battlefield 4 there a couple of months back as it was only €10 on the PS store. Had never really played any battlefields before, but played it for a few hours without really getting into it, but enjoyed it.

Only problem is none of my mates play it so I wouldn't really be interested in getting it unless a few of them did as well. Gets boring a lot quicker when you're playing alone I think.

    This.

If they do it, I'll definitely pick it up. Haven't been buying them recently because they are going the same way as COD.

Best BF I've played personally was the Vietnam expansion pack for BC2 I think it was.

Probably worth mentioning here that EA are going to be giving away all the DLC for Battlefield 4 & Hardline over the next few months.

I decided to skip both of them since Battlefield 3 was a letdown, but I'll maybe give them a look now. They're both actually on sale for £7.99 at the moment on the Playstation Store, which is a pretty good price.

In regards to the new game though....

I mentioned in the General Chat thread a couple of months back that a Swiss retailer had the game listed as taking place in WW1, whilst a few rumours since then have said it's actually WW2. It might just be a case of reading too much in to things, but I thought this part of the press release was interesting:

Maybe the game will be set in a different time periods, which would explain some of the rumours. The multiplayer might be a bit weird if that's the case, but it would definitely be interesting.

I got Battlefield 4 the basic version for a tenner and it's easily worth that, would recommend giving it a go. I always find a game straight away and that's in the 'newbie servers'. Think the full version of the game is €20 which is just extra maps and game modes, probably better value but I wasn't that pushed and a tenner was still well worth it.

Cheers for the push I took the plunge:50: its still a tenner unbeleivably but I said * it and went the 15 quid premium, how to see what its all about now!

    * sake €15 is a bargain, I should have got it when it was €20 really, didn't really think it through and didn't really know how much game modes I was missing out on.

I'd be tempted to get the premium now but I'd feel stupid after already paying a tenner for the standard edition :smiley-laughing002:

Is the BF3 community on the PC still active?

I bought several BF but kinda never really got into them. Maps were too huge and it took me minutes to finally see an enemy, just to get blown up and respawn again. :smiley-laughing002:

PC gamers, try Americas Army Proving Grounds for free on Steam. Its a fairly tactical shooter, certainly not a run and gun CoD type game, graphics aint top notch but ive been enjoying it

Some guy on Twitter is claiming that he was mucking about with the developer tools for Origin and came across some stuff for Battlefield.

According to him, the game is set during WW1 and will in fact be called Battlefield 1. He also posted an image & description for an alleged achievement, as well as some details about the campaign.

    Achievement Image & Description:

    Miscellaneous Details:

It could be a lot of rubbish, but I thought it was sharing since its gained a bit of attention. Here's a link to the guys Twitter for anyone interested.
