Is this who GS has been keepin tabs on, throws the 2 players (naka and du wei) story out the window:

Celtic have had a £300,000 offer for Scotland midfielder Paul Hartley rejected by Hearts, BBC Sport believes.

The Glasgow club had two bids for the 28-year-old turned down in January.

Hartley rejected a 12-month contract extension before Hearts appointed George Burley as John Robertson's replacement as manager.

The midfielder said at the time that he could be persuaded to stay with the Edinburgh club if a big-name manager was brought in.

Hearts are believed to value Hartley, who last season broke into the Scotland international team, at £1m.

it was a bit stupid of celtic to expect to get him for that price unless it's some type of tactic.

well after hartley rejectin a new contract at hearts maybe GS felt they would prefer to cash in, i mean its not as if hes a sought after man at the minute. i wonder if GS is lookin to keep his options open concerning nakamura. i posted an article saying that we are to meet reggina officials in milan or glasgow on tues or wed. if hartleys the fall back im not impressed.

i know both would be great but GS said he wants two more players. if its both hartley and naka then weve no defence. if its hartley and du wei, then wed be disappointed that we failed to get naka. or will GS be greedy and take all 3 mentioned? we'll just have to see i suppose.

He's a decent player, and would be a good
addition, but I reckon this is back-up in case
    Nakamura dosen't sign.

I think Hartley is a great player and would do well for Celtic, we need all the players we can get in as our squad is still very thin and I would gladly take him and Nakamura

I really don't see anyone to excite me in the new transfers so GHS had better hope that the next few days brings in a few prospects. I think Aliadiere and Zurawski may have the goods but its not showing yet. Camara looks OK for a discard. We really need the far east brigade if for no other reason than that the mysticism of the orient may work to our advantage. What about this Virgo lad from Brighton? Is he just a squad builder? It may be early days yet, but I don't know that I feel super confident at the moment - I could be persuaded though!

I think Nakumara deal will be done after Thursday's deadline,WGS said he wanted 2 new faces before Thursday, he's got Virgo, I think Du-Wei is coming on trial, so maybe Hartley was the other. Great addition to the squad if we can get him, almost 20 goals from midfield last season is agreat return, and perhaps we could give Petrov a rest with Hartley as backup!
Hearts are taking the *, if they don't sell him now, we'll sign him on a pre-contract in January, maybe the same for Riordan and Robbie Keane!

ahh maybe he wants another bargain like larsson, he was less than that. dont no if any of the old bhoys will b left in the first squad next season with all the new bhoys and young guns.
