29-13 Ireland are doing very well. Beginning to look like the side they used to be after their disappointing run

Credit to Wales they really ran Italy ragged in the second half so they are in the box seat but have us and France in the last 2 games. We look like we are back alive after really working Scotland over once we got going. It's going to be an exciting last 2 rounds thats for sure.

    Wales 47-8 Italy

    Ireland 34-13 Scotland

    France 13-24 huns

Cometh the shotgun to put me out my misery! Fair play to Ireland, but don't read too much into the win as a coach full of pensioners could tackle better than the Scotland team.

I'm not looking forward the final two games. I don't think we'll beat Italy in Italy and i certainly don't think we'll get anything from England.

    Bring on the wooden spoon.

Hopefully we'll get Andy Robinson in as coach soon. He was managing our A team that trounced the Ireland A team by 40 odd points.

Well the Italians can't be feeling to hot either after the beating they got in Cardiff so that is winnable I would think and well we can all hope for a miracle against England although unfortunately that doesn't look to good.

I hope your right and certainly it will be interesting to see how well can we play against a Welsh team that is genuinely firing on all cylinders.

Good win for Ireland at the weekend. The pack weren't as impressive as in Paris, but the backline finally seemed to click. Bowe and Kearney should now be regulars in the team, so should Trimble partnered by O'Driscoll in the centre. It was interesting to see that Geordan Murphy got Man of the Match - I thought Kearney and Trimble played better, possibly Heaslip too. Still prefer Dempsey though; there's always a huge chance of Murphy * things up for us at fullback like he's done countless times before.

For Ireland to have any realistic chance of picking up the Championship then they need to give Wales a good hammering - by fifteen points at the very least. And then we have to beat England at Twickenham - no easy thing to do if their pack plays like it did in Paris last weekend. If we're gonna win the title then we also need Italy not to give France too many points in their encounter next weekend and hope that the Wales-France game on the final weekend goes our way points wise.

Scotland's problem, as always, seems to be in the backs. Just no cutting edge. They should give a few of the outside backs that played in the 67-7 hammering of Ireland 'A' last weekend a shot against England. If Scotland can beat England up front like they did two years ago then they have a chance of beating them. I'll certainly be supporting them.

Still, if Ireland win the Triple Crown and those Welsh * don't win anything, then I'll be content - this time round. A few good results Down Under in the summer are needed, plus a really good performance against the All Blacks at Croke Park in November and then we really have to challenge for the Six Nations next year - whether or not Eddie O'Sullivan will still be in charge by then is another matter though. I hope he's not.

Also, big weekend of Mangers League rugby coming up. Leinster can really take control of the league with a win in Connacht on Friday night. I nver though I'd say this, but I hope Ulster beat the Scarlets on Friday night. Cardiff Blues vs. Munster on Saturday could also be interesting.

Pass the bucket. I'm not alone in thinking that Ireland's Call is a load of old *.

Well if that's a Welsh team firing on all cylinders then there's nothing to worry about. They were dominated by England until they decided to play a lock in the backrow and started bottling it, they were only a score ahead of an awful Scottish side until about ten minutes to go, and, again, were only a score ahead of Italy at half time and only started running in the tries when the Italian backs couldn't give a * anymore. Seriously, all Wales are is the Ospreys but a little bit better with a few additions. The Ospreys who have been battered by the likes of Gloucester this season.

    We should beat them comfortably.

What other Irish rugby songs are there to sing?

The Fields, Molly Malone, et al - seriously, anything is better than Ireland's Call. And I wouldn't even call it an 'Irish Rugby song'. It's just some tripe someone thought up in five minutes just to keep the Todgers happy. If I had my way, there'd either be no anthems played, or both Amhrán na bhFiann (for the Republic) and * Save the Queen (for the Todgers) played.

It's funny, when Ireland play in the Republic, Amhrán na bhFiann is always played, and when they don't play in the Republic, it's not played. And yet, when Ireland played Italy in Belfast last August, just Ireland's Call was played, as the playing of Amhrán na bhFiann would have upset the locals, and just the playing of * Save the Queen would have upset the supporters from the Republic.

    It's a very complicated sitaution.

Indeed it is haha. The important thing is that Ireland is winning, might not be the best they can be playing, but they're getting the job done. Just have to step it up a bit. Cmon Ireland :shamrock:

Just for the record though, if I heard "* Save the *, er I mean Queen" I'd * show what how I felt, although i'm sure anyone would.

Agreed but confidence is certainly high on the Welsh side and while we have a better team who knows what Ireland side will show up. I do think we will the game but even if we beat the huns in London it looks like we would loose out on the title yet again on points difference.

we will beat wales, they're almost a club side who wont be able to cope with one of the best back lines in rugby, if they cant beat leinster they've no chance against ireland. if we stop james hook seeing too much ball we'll win by at least 10-15 points
