Man City's centtral defender Richard Dunne could be coming to us, as if we're not short of defenders, is he going to be a benchwarmer if he arrives. He still has 18 months left on his contract though.

Far from a bench warmer, he'd walk right into that team.

I dont think so, not with Balde, McManus, Caldwell, Naylor or Hinkel!

He's a centre half, so you can rule out Naylor and Hinkel. He'd start ahead of Caldwell and Balde imo.

Do you watch Dunne play on a regular basis because I do and not only would Dunne walk into our starting lineup he would be head and shoulders above all our other center backs. He is an out and out center back so Naylor and Hinkel don't come into the equation.

But suffice it to say if we had Dunne in our lineup he would have as big an impact on our team as Boruc does in goal.

there was indeed another thread about this.

I dont get the comments on him here , he's an average centre back .

would city fans be gutted if he left ? are any other premiership teams clammering for him ?

that aside any time iv seen him iv not been impressed , maybe yous have seen him for ireland and thought good player ?

I was watching a game with man city against .... can't remember who, and after man city had won the game! the pundits were asked why the recent success at city? all replied with basicaly the same answer....they have two of the best CB's in the premiership! richards and dunne! the guy would defo be next to mick in my eyes! not that i can fault caldwell! never thought there was anything wrong the guy!
