For the Sevco games there will be about 13,000 more fans for 2 games than there usually is, so 26,000 at about £50 a ticket each = £1.3million. Then Season ticket prices will probably go up £50 for say 30,000 season ticket holders = £1.5million.

So Sevco will add about £2.8million just in ticket sales. Some other countries might pick up those games for TV aswell but income from that will be minimal as it'll be spread to all clubs so probably not really worth counting, if you add in merchandising sales/food and the wee boost from the general advertising around those games then they probably will add about £3.5million all in as I imagine sponsors even New Balance and Magners would pay us more for having 4 games against them on TV near to millions worldwide when our normal games are maybe only watched by about a quarter or less of that audience.

As the season tickets were £50 cheaper for the last 3 years too then we probably missed out on about £1.5million a year extra there too. So from 2012-15 we probably lost out on £5million a year, 2015/16, probably £3.5million a year.

So, about £20 odd million that we wouldn't have invested in the team?

I wasn't aware of this. Yes, that is a really poor piece of business.

No point tuning in big profits by selling our best players then playing to half full stadiums because we are * off with the * football on display .

But surely in this there's the second half of last season because it is over a year, so it'll average itself out compared to last year? Bit confusing having the finances posted half way through a season. I'd rather this was posted in the off-season.
