Not a bad idea IMO altough there should be plenty of clauses in the loan (not playing against us, can be recalled at anytime)

The way things stand i don't see maloney seeing much action this season it was a shame about his injury cos he was starting to put a few good games in before it.

    Thoughts please.

Good player but will never get into our first team, we should let him go to give him first team football at Aberdeen.

would like lambert to get him, i hear his wages may block a move to the dons on bbc sport.

This would be good for Maloney as it would give him the chance to prove his worth to Celtic and give him 1st team footy. Its kinda the same scenario as Arsenal and Aliadiere. Maloney would defo make the grade at CP mind his freekicks a few seasons ago?

I agree. The wee man needs a decent run of games to prove his worth and undoubted talent, but we have to hold on to him in the longterm, as i think he will prove to be a quality player.

He would need to improve drastically to get
a game this season, or rely on injuries, *
forbid. Better to let him go and get some
much needed first team football, would like
    to see him with Lambert.

    Hail Hail.

Maloney wage packet deterrent to Aberdeen

ABERDEEN look set to miss out on the loan signing of Celtic striker Shaun Maloney.

The 22-year-old striker appears to have slipped well down the pecking order with the Glasgow club following the summer arrivals of Jeremie Aliadiere and Maciej Zurawski, and manager Gordon Strachan is keen to farm him out for games

But it appears the wages the Scotland Under-21 international commands at Celtic Park would be a big stumbling block in any move to Pittodrie or Livingston, who are also interested.

im a dons fan and i would love for us to get maloney on loan. i have rated him very highly for a while now. but i would prefer to get our polish trialist signed ahead of maloney though, i would also love ross wallace on loan. a great winger and we only have a few left footers, one of them being ryan esson.
