Surely with that consensus then, Ronny should be punted before he turns another European campaign into a disaster.

When in the spell we played Molde, they went on a 8 game win streak, so aye, form.

Our league is absolute dross. Our teams are regularly punted out the early European qualifiers by teams from worse leagues than Norway.

Good on them. They were still mid table in the Norwegian league, yes?

I don't know why folk are trying to deny this.

The Tippeligaen is higher ranked than the SPFL.

That was the thought after Malmo put us out. We led Ajax in both games and had 2 goals on Fener. There was every possibility in hindsight we could have.

We were never qualifying from a group containing Spartak, Benfica and Barca or so we were told.

No but finishing bottom with 3 points and no wins was a disgrace

There was every possibility but we didn't win those games when we should have. That's the facts of both games at the end of the day, unfortunately. Without that desire to win in the team both as a team and individual players, which was clear from the early qualifiers, we were never going to top the group. We did well in those games but ultimately not well enough.

In terms of the CL. The 2 squads in question are night and day in comparison to each other. More winners, more strength, more desire, more heart both physically and mentally in that CL squad compared to our current squad.

    I'm not denying that. It's a fact.

But they were on good form when they played us and you said that you look at how good they are when we played them. They were good.

This is getting ridiculous I honestly do feel that im getting sucked in here. I referred to Molde as a mid table Norwegian side. They finished sixth out of sixteen teams and were seventh when they beat us. That is the definition of a mid table side. Eighth is exactly in the center, if you are trying to base your argument on the fact that 6th & 7th in a 16 team league is not mid table, then there's no point continuing this argument, it's getting silly. People have had pops at me for some strange things on this forum but I have to say that this is up there.

:50:I read the sentiment in your previous post wrongly. I thought you meant we were incapable of topping the group.

In a small handful of games. I certainly don't think they were actually good against us, they were clever tactically and we were * idiotic tactically.

Yup but denying they were in that league position when we played them is just daft :56:

I'm not 'siding with OG1', it's literally something that can't be argued against. That's were they were.

Now if you went the pedantic route cos they were 7th and 6th, while 8th is actually the middle of the table feel free to debate over that all day. It's just daft trying to say they weren't mid table when we played them though.

Not really, what are Man City? Or Liverpool?

Historically a tiny club, always known for yo-young through divisions. Liverpool, historically the dominant team in England.

Something you can't say about any of those teams at the moment.

I doubt anycunts coming up against Leicester expecting an wasy game because historically that's what they've been.

You just talked about how important form is, they were in form. I think your ignorance of the glaringly obvious situation that Molde were a team who underperformed early in the season, and performed to their usual league challenging standard aound the time when they played us, is just as bad as people denying that they finished mid table.

You're right about us being idiotic, though.
