You can be sick of it all you want, if you watched the match you'd see we did.

Alan was excellent on the counter attack, ha made one mistake and where were the defense?

Listen in any decent system you would have players back behind your attacking midfielder and he got mugged, he made a mistake. He panicked and went to the ground.

But he setup some great chances.

Who else is getting the blame, Charlie Mulgrew? Well he's not played all season, so why risk him for a big game like this. This isn't St Johnstone we're playing.

I'm not joking when i said ages ago with this system you've got to look at freshening it up in the first half because it takes that much out of the whole team.

I think this is why Griff misses the chances. He's trying too hard and it stresses him out, but the trying to hard for Griffiths means a lot of mileage out on the park.

So when the chances come, he's already just ran, there, there, there and there.

One up front. How successful has that been in Europe? Not very.

Then there is GMS and Armstrong. Armstrong's an interesting one because as soon as he came in, out went Stokes and that's unprofessional in my opinion. It's mind games.

GMS, cuts inside down the right and plays with no fear. On the left he's having to tackle or win the ball with his bad foot.

This is the joys of having strikers perfectly adapted to cutting inside, playing the other side of the pitch. There were about four or five tonight and one touch passing would destroy Ajax. But, it falls on to the wrong foot and it takes too many touches to work it onto the good foot and find the pass, when it should be instant.

So forget the Ronny Deila PR campaign, do you think Jackie MacNamara would be playing GMS and Armstrong on the left?

So here's another great myth, we can't improve because we don't spend enough money.
    We spend plenty of money.

You don't need to go and bring in the best manager in the world, just the best manager for this specific group of players and this is the risk. It's a risk worth taking now.

My impression was, on the counter the ball got stuck under foot when it got played to guys on the wrong side, with the ball landing at their weaker foot.

Alan might have slotted those passes first time, but you can see the wee legs in the team can't tackle and can't keep the ball. Part of the reason is Ronny has decided that Armstrong takes Stokes position and then when Armstrong gets injured he plays GMS their instead of Stokes.

That's the sort of dumbass * hour management we saw from time to time under Lenny, but at least Lenny didn't take daft risks like playing McGregor for ninety minutes.

You could have subbed him after five because McGregor and Forrest don't win games in Europe.

We all care about winning, but you can still play well and lose. Tonight was gutting, but I'm not going to let it get me down. Plenty of positives to take from the match.

It's the result that counts. Far to many times this season has this pish about how great we played been spouted.

This isn't good enough. Anyone with a backbone will agree with me

    I watched it.

I don't think we played well, I think we played better than we did Molde and yet again shipped 2 goals.

That's not the same as playing well.

From what I gather Sutton ( and to a lesser extent the other guests) seemed to highlight these as the problems

experience-ajax have less experience than us, they develop their own experience, it is the kind of model we should follow, we looked pretty good at times with an unexperienced side tonight, I didnt really miss brown or johansen

investment- from who? if nobody is willing to throw money at us then we work with what we've got, and what we've got is more than molde, legia warsaw, malmo or maribor. we are underachieving in europe for what we currently invest throwing more money at it probably isn't wise right now

Taking tonight as an isolated event, we had 7 scottish players, and 3 youth players in our first team, we created alot of chances and looked ok defensively most of the match, we would have drawn the match had molde been winning as we left ourselves exposed at the back. it was actually an encouraging tonight, but we blew our chances in the two molde matches, and that is down to being out thought tactically, the blame lies with ronny and the coaching staff.

We need a more streetwise manager who will still give our own youth players a chance and develop young players, take the positives from the ronny experiment and move forward.

Once we can beat teams with smaller budgets then we should ask questions about more investment

King Kenny and Henrik. Proud to have seen them both play.
We didn't play well. We had a couple of decent spells but we didn't play well. Obviously a patched up team but then so were Ajax and they passed (again) much better than us. All the teams in Europe, bar Stjarnan, have passed the ball better than us.

Hope we send the reserves to Turkey ( with CM as skipper) for the last game.

Id hate to see De Boer and his scummy team get through. Id never ( ever) want to see us lose but Id make an exception in this case

If someone disagrees with you, they have no backbone? I used to think it was a game of opinions.

Ajax are * * as well. I'd feel sorry for their massive decline if ours wasn't so depressing.

On the plus side. If we keep Ronny we'll get another crack at the Europa next season, without any of this Champions League nonsense getting in the way

    Didn't say we played great.

We defended well and kept our shape in the first half, not allowing them to cut us open, bar McGregor losing the ball and a freak ball letting them in.

We piled pressure on and created numerous chances, yet got caught on the break. Didn't play well enough but still played well.
