Setanta are going to offer a bundle of channels next season which includes Celtic TV. You won't be able to pick and choose. If you're a current Setanta subscriber I think you can get it for £120 a year or £140 a year if you aren't. Otherwise it's £14 a month. If you're a current Celtic TV subscriber they'll charge you £10 a month for the first three months, after which it goes up to £14. Clear as mud!

ok bhoys and ghirls i am still a bit ignorant to how this works

say i buy sky (basic package) and i pay about £16 a month for it. can i then get celtic TV on top of that or do i have to pay for setanta and then get celtic TV. Basically i am very poor and in need of celtic games. Whats the cheapest way through a tv set up?

It is relatively simple. If you are a current Setanta subscriber then it will cost you £120 for a 1 year subscription. Otherwise it will set you back £140. This gives you practically every Celtic and Rangers away game and all Old Firm matches. Also in this package you get French and German football.

Celtic TV is completely seperate. You have to buy at least a 12 month package but I'm not sure how much this costs. I think it costs roughly £5 per month. This gives you an exclusive insight into CP with interviews and news as well as old action from the glory years. You also get delayed full match coverage of every Celtic game.

Hope this is what you were looking for.

Celtic TV isn't going to be available on its own, I'm afraid. It's going to be part of the Setanta package. I think that Celtic are hoping to pick up a few more customers for its online service over this, hence the Channel67 'revamp' and talk of a new download service to let you watch matches on your pc with the same quality of picture as your TV. They had a trial run of this download service earlier in the year. Some seemed to think it was great, others didn't.

The problem is that you have to pay for the 12 months upfront so it is actually quite expensive. Well this was the case last season, it might be different now though as they must have lost alot of custom through this.

It is really stupid as this is the only reason why I haven't subsribed to the channel. The only thing more stupid was an asian women at the Setanta call office attempting to explain this!

Two words, Cheap Labour. I hate it when the give Asain women fake British names to use when working at call centres. I was talking to a women called 'Claire' from 'London' but she is probably from Asia working for £1 an hour. She could hardly speak english and she even asked me to spell Murphy! I said M U R F Y for a joke but she replied "thank you please"!
