King Kenny and Henrik. Proud to have seen them both play.
This exactly. 40k a week is a joke up here. Fantasy football. *, Broony on 30k is a joke but there we are. (I love Broony btw but he's no 30k worth)

I'd like us to cap wages at 20k, unless, as you say, there's a Larsson.
Bring through more youngsters. Tierney, Allan, Christie, Nesbitt, Hendo for the next few seasons.
I'd like to see an end to this rip off THIRD STRIP *!
Oh and fitba strips shouldnae cost £70/£80 to buy.
I'd like to see £15 matchday tickets!

Might mean more misery, I suppose, as we wait for it to bear fruit, but it's clearly not working (at a Euro level) just now.

Club to be more open about player costs and where and what the money is spent on and less smoke and mirrors.

More info about players not in the team...injury updates ect.

Why not set ticket prices alongside the split.
For the teams in 2nd and 3rd place make it one price
For teams in 4th to 6th place make it slightly cheaper and then for bottom 6 make it cheaper again.
Since i don't know ticket prices use this as example
    2nd and 3rd place opposition £20
    4th to 6th place opposition £18
    7th to 9th place opposition £15
    10th to 12th place opposition £10

Or the Board willing to give a greater contract to keep Ledley? Obviously that isn't the interest of our Board, but please we will just leave that alternative out just for your sake :50:

The quotes that you yourself posted from him quite clearly counteract that argument. He said he was 'planning' on signing it, meaning he believed he was getting a fair offer. He was clearly stalling in the hope that he could run down his contract. The board called his bluff and he jumped ship at the first opportunity.

He wanted to leave, literally every move he made points to that eventuallity. He never signed the offer which he himself admits was a good offer.

You're right he was getting a fair offer.

He ran his contract down with Cardiff, the Board made the decision to take the capital for him. This doesn't mean he was holding out for a Club, you can assume he did of course, previous actions from Cardiff as I stated he has run down his contract.

He said he was planning to sign the contract yet people still paint the picture that he couldnt get out quick enough. I just dont understand that point of view at all. La la la I am not listening.

Disclaimer I await a poster to comment on how this is apparently ironic :shamrock:

    The Ledley * again? :smiley-laughing002:

"The contract he was offered was terrible.. he was moments away from signing it then changed his mind.."

Which is it for * sake? Either it was so bad he never intended to sign it or it was good enough that only a last minute change of heart meant he didn't sign it.

The guy loved being here, but he wanted a few years in the Premier League. The board could probably have cashed in the summer before he left but they took the hit to have him here longer in the hope he might sign a contract.

There are only three things in life that are certain:

    Death
    Taxes

...and og1 making an absolute * of himself every two months re Joe Ledleys contract.

    Comedy * gold :icon_mrgreen:

What changes would I like to see to the club? og1 and Minimalist to replace Deila and Lawwell respectively, the rest of the * will work itself out.

First order of business: "Get me Joe Ledley on the phone!"

    Five minutes later..

"*, that is a wee bit steep right enough Joe, maybe just stay in England.."

This is how I see it too. I think he was going to sign if nothing else came through. if he's on the same money after signing for another club, as has been suggested, then he clearly chose the new club over the old.

I think, and this is pure speculation, that he wanted a little more than celtic wanted to pay, and that's why he didn't sign for months. If no bid had come in he'd have signed an extension. When the bid was accepted it was for what he wanted, and he felt no loyalty to celtic as they didn't value him as highly, coupled with him already saying he wanted a run at a bigger league. In a league where players can earn 200k a week, getting an extra couple of grand on about 15k per week would probably be reported as the same, so if that's what was said I'd guess that's the reason why. All guesswork though. As for believing Ledley over the club. Why? Not a possibility he wants to have his cake?

He says he was planning on signing it. He never signed it. He left the club with a contract on the table that he must have believed was a fair contract as he himself said he was 'planning' on signing it.

Ask yourself why he never signed it then.

Why did Joe Ledley stall on signing a contract with Celtic for months yet sign a contract with Crystal Palace in a matter of hours?

    Answer that
