    Whilst I have a lot of respect for Redknapp, he does have a short memory.

    I really don't think we need Niemi and HR is gonna find out just how much Niemi is really worth. The fact that he may bring less money than HR wants is surely totally down to his inept management skills (HR that is). I pity Niemi - he deserves a better gaffer! YNWA.

    I can't believe that HR thinks that teams can't make enquries about his team. It is sad that they have prevented Niemi from coming to Celtic as Niemi had stated in the press that this is what he wanted to do. I hate managers who think that they call all the shots and don't care about the individuals involved as when you make a bid for a player, you don't send it to the manager, you send it to the Chairman or the Chief Executive. If he prevents Niemi, Ludekvam, Delap and Crouch etc from playing at a higher level it is tragic as it is time he takes a reality check. Southampton are not that big a club, christ there not even the best team in Portsmouth! If he did have a problem with GS then he should have said these things to the man himself, not spreading vicious stories about him in the press as this is not only bad to GS but also to Celtic. I was delighted that GS on Sky did not respond to these cowardly remarks as it shown that he is the bigger and better man.
