    Quoted directly from
    Dailyrecord.co.uk.sport/football-news/scottish-football this morning.

"Parkhead chiefs are close to sealing a deal for the midfielder dubbed the new Shunsuke
    Nakamura.
Agreements have been reached with Mizuno's club JEF United in Chiba and the 22-year-old could be a Celtic player within days."

"Creative Mizuno can play on the right side of midfield or in a central area and has lethal dead-ball delivery and free-kick expertise.
Like Nakamura, his scoring record from set plays is first class and he bagged nine goals in just 27 starts for JEF United over the past season. "

Nakamura will stay to nurture Mizuno and help him to settle into life in Glasgow.
The transfer is a major coup for Celtic because there was a lot of European interest in the player from clubs in Spain, France and Germany.

sounds good to me - we need a lift right now, Parkhead has been like a morgue on match days recently.

I thought it would mean a nakamura exit aswell, but the daily record quotes:

"Celtic hope Mizuno will be a natural successor to Parkhead hero Nakamura but there is no question of the youngster's arrival paving the way for Scotland's Player of the Year to quit.
On the contrary, Nakamura will stay to nurture Mizuno and help him to settle into life in Glasgow"

    Video looks impressive alright!!!

Anyone tell me how to delete posts?

    cheers

if thats true i'd be happy, he's 22 and is said to have good free kick on him.

were could we play him, he sounds promising enough and it will be good to have another creative player other then naka and mcgeady as it can ease their pressure.

although sounds like another market move rather buying a player's service.

i just hope it is true as sounds good.

This guy looks a player could be a great signing on the park and commercially. Its almost guaranteed we will sign a japanese player so he could be the bhoy.

I was wondering about the price myself. He looks the business, but coming from a league where the blind could save more shots than the 'keepers they have, it's difficult to tell if he has real goal-scoring prowess. I would think he'd be around the same price as Naka was, £2.5 M, approximately. That's at a guess, though.

I've heard that Naka want's to be a coach when he retires, so what's better than getting a start on it than by mentoring someone who's dubbed the next you?

Even if he does leave, we won't lose as much revenue from Japan sales because we'd still have Mizuno.

    Sign him up :50:
