I wasn't the biggest fan of his management style and the way the team played, as I've said on numerous occasions, but he's undoubtedly a Celtic legend, more in my eyes for his playing record than management record.

Yes. Did you think I would mull over your question for a couple of days before wondering why WGS left?

I don't give a * about your question. It is well known you hate Lenny. There are tens of thousands out there who also hate Lenny. Why would I care about one more:smiley-laughing002:

I prefer him to Strachan as a manager, and as a player he was quality at times. A Legend for a lot reasons I think.

Going back to this, then on top of what he had to endure when here with the threats against him, threats so severe he even had to quit international football earlier then he probably of liked as well.

What more can one do to be classed a legends of this club honestly? Honestly I bet if he had more goals to his name no one would be arguing this point, but as a player his game was so focused on supporting and protecting.

Goals are the only thing he misses on his CV, however he is still a legend regardless.

To say otherwise after everything he willingly put up with that none of us would have if it happened in our lines of work is just criminal and an insult to one of beat servants of this club in modern football.

The mull over your question for a couple of days was sarcasm. I guess that went right over your head:smiley-laughing002::smiley-laughing002::smiley-laughing002:

I was making a general post. I am hardly the first on this forum do do this. If it was directed a you I would have quoted your post like I am doing now.

If you want me to get the * of your coat tails then don't quote my posts. You decided that my general post was about you and started this.

As was pointed out to you by another poster in another thread and again by me in my previous post your opinion on NL matters little to me. You are only one more hater among the tens of thousands who already hate him.

Genuinely think this is the first time I've seen someone go on a forum for talking about football on a forum and get genuinely offended someone is trying to talk to them about footbal on a forum for talking about football, when in reality that person isn't actually talking to them but to everycunt in general :56:

See above post. You are not the only one on here.

I am emphasising how I don't care about your opinion on NL in the hope that you will stop quoting me.

For the record on for all concerned the post regarding WGS going to England was not directed at *. If any group was targeted it was those who had a pop at Lenny saying he wanted to leave to manage in England a group that likely included you * but not you alone.

WGS never faced those accusations, MON did though, can mind several people saying he used his wifes cancer as 'cover to get back to England'

People were opening champagne when Strachan left :smiley-laughing002: we'd been brutalised for about 2.5 year of awful football by the time he left. Even the Mowbray season was less painful than those years under Strachan as he freshened things up a lot although it all went pearshaped it was atleast more entertaining that grinding out 1 goal wins with dire slow, 1 dimensional(pass to McGeady run down the wing put in cross repeat) 4-4-2 football.

Well i apologize for taking it the wrong way,but that's * of a coincidence you posting what you did right after my post, most people would take it you were answering them.

Also stop with the bullshit saying i hate NL,maybe i dont rate him as a manager like you do but that doesn't mean my opinions wrong.

    Have a nice day.

    Sick.

I never came across this fortunately. I didn't go on forums at that time and he was revered among the Irish support. The only contact I would have had with Scottish based supporters would be in the pubs down the Gallowgate.

Didn't happen until he started getting success with Villa, couple of years into Strachans tenure. Only heard it on here as well.

He was revered over here as well, there's always some dicks though.

I will give you my train of thought to put this to bed.

I read your post and thought to myself that this question was never asked off WGS.

    I google "Strachen leaves Cletic"
    https://www.google.com/search?q=strachan+leaves+celtic&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8

The article I posted from is top of the page. I noticed the part I highlighted about speculation of WGS going to Sunderland and thought this was a stick used to beat Lenny. So I highlighted this part with my comment re tarnishing Lennys reputation.

Saying now that Lenny left to manage in England(which is only opinion) can only be used as a negative if it is also applied to WGS.

Hopefully this clears up the coincidence for you. If so apology accepted.
