So much of this I agree with.

I am not as confident as most on here as winning the League, because at the moment we are a poor side, with players lacking in confidence and a Team with so many weaknesses. Yes we will get better but so will Aberdeen.

On the plus side, as I've posted in another thread. I can see what Ronny/The Club are doing - getting in a load of young prospects who will be with each other for a few years and who won't be snaffled by EPL Clubs in 12 months. That's brilliant but we need to throw in experience and we have that in players like Commons & Stokes. We need to play a system that suits the players, but we are a 1 track pony. We play 4-2-3-1 and rely on pace/pressure. We have no midfield general/calming influence. We have too many 'all I have to do is turn up and I'm playing' - Broonie ( maybe it's the Qarabag injury), Johansen to name 2. We are fast becoming stale with the same players, in the same formation using the same tactics and if anything is going to crucify Ronny, it's that, because the vast majority of paying public won't stick with him

Folks on here are looking for a positive result from Amsterdam. Well, was having a look at Ajax's form this year. PL5, W4, D1 (Sat's 2-2 game). Scored 14, conceded 2...but folks think this team are at the same level as us! If we come away with a draw I will be so chuffed.

Almost 12 months ago after we lost to Hamilton, we were 6th in the League and came back to win it. However our form didn't really take off until after we were out of the Europa - This Thursday match followed by the League 3 days later did us no favours, so will be interesting to see what happens this time around.

Good man Murphy. I thought you would be a man who would be in denial rather than asking critical questions. Fair play to ya. I also feel that we can blow this league but we have the players to romp it. Our problem is in the dugout. For arguments sake lets say Lennon was in charge:

    Gordon

    Lustig Boyata Siminovic Emilo

    Bitton
    Brown Johanson
    Commons

    Stokes Griffiths

I think we have bigger problems on the park than in the dugout. I said after the Malmo game that we simply aren't good enough, and I still think there are too many who overestimate us. We are not a good side. One thing that is starting to annoy me though, is Deila selecting players who aren't playing well. Johansen needs dropped, simple as that, and I would add Brown to that as well. Two massive players for us, but aren't performing. Mackay-Steven over Forrest was baffling as well, and once again, he was anonymous. We have went backwards from last season, whilst Aberdeen have improved. Enough to win the league, it's a possibility I feel. If Atletico could win La Liga over Barca & Real Madrid, then I don't see why Aberdeen couldn't do the same this season. Normally I wouldn't be too concerned just now, as I would be confident of Aberdeen dropping a lot of points, but I don't think they will. Writing Aberdeen off still, is silly in my opinion. They looked a better team than we did on Saturday, and had far more fight.

Couldn't agree more. I still think that we have the players to win this title comfortably though already at the club

We do, but too many are playing well below par.

One of the main positives about last season was the pressing. This season are we even pressing teams? I think the problem is with fitness to be honest. For all his fancy talk I never thought our team was visibly fitter and now it actually looks like it is burnt out. No joke.

We were definitely a lot fitter last season than we were in previous years. The second half of last season is probably the fittest I've seen from a Celtic side. We definitely aren't pressing as well just now though, and that is a concern.

    Burnt out!

I agree the team looks burnt out!!! Has the training been too much. I mean someone like Brown does not have the body of an athlete so his body cannot sustain the training? Tiredness/fatigue will set in at some point!!!

It looks to be an issue with fitness. It really does. We are conceding a lot of late goals. There could also be some discontent in the squad. Those rumors may have some substance. There is something wrong anyway.

We don't need a favor. We still have to play them 3 times this season, so we don't need to rely on anyone else just yet. On top of that Aberdeen will not win every game between now and the end of the season, they don't have a big enough squad for that, once injuries and suspensions start to come in they will drop points. No need to panic, after all, its only 6 games into a season.

Folk are having kittens cus we lost to the second strongest side after us about 6/7 games in. Imagine the state of this place if we drew ra rainjurs in a cup and they gave us a game, which I think us plausible the way their going atm, there would be absolute meltdown.
Chill out ffs, we are going to be fine. There's issues yes but it is nowhere near as terrifyingly bad as some folk are making it out to be.

I'll admit you put your points across in a good way, but fans to be ignorant towards the league is creating this sense of smug complacency on the pitch.

Aye we'll win the league. It's about plying the trade in such a way that attracts fans and the results will come. Celtic, with the resources we have should be chinning opponents 5 or 6 nil every now and then and thats something that isn't happening.

If Deila really is for building youth, can you tell me a handful of players from the youth system that have been integrated into the first team in his time as yet? Infact he's actually spent more on one player than Lennon ever did, and didn't * start him!

Agree up to here... even if the sheep keep winning, we still play them a few more times this year.

With 3 games still to play against Aberdeen I honestly still think it's our title to lose.

I agree that its crazy to suggest the league has gone or has been won after so few games, however my concern is that our manager seems to only have one game plan and one formation.

You can't play teams four times a season and expect them not to suss out your tactics, Deila needs to vary formations and have a B & C plan instead of nothing but plan A.

Its his naive tactical awareness thats costing us in Europe, 3-1 up against Malmo and he still allowing Ambrose and Izzy to venture into their half in extra time. He needs a reality check, or a good kick up the * !!!
