Just have to give the guy a chance and hope that he is an able replacement for Van Dijk.

Hopefully, like Van Dijk, he is not only a good defender, but a danger in the opposition box too.

    Same.
He's a big guy at 6'3', has pace and his stats are good.
He was regular CB with Dinamo Zagreb, and he's represented Croatia at all youth levels up to U21, so he must have something going for him.
That gives us plenty of choice at CB now, Jozo, Boyata, Blackett, Ambrose and Mulgrew, all big guys too, and with Janko there too, we are going to have a dominating, tall and imposing defence. Pity we didn't have all these options for Malmo (2).

We had 4 out of 6 of those options for Malmo and had a backline with an average height of 6ft 3:56:

I don't think Blackett and Janko will be playing CB.

Celtic coaches will go to Zagreb to learn from Dinamo's youth team coaches and Celtic's youth team will participate at Mladen Ramljak youth tournament, which is held every June.

Use their fancy new toys to give the same level of coverage to Scotland!? Dont hold your breath. Youre lucky skysports even bothered to mention us in the first place.

Yes, although Viduka played for Australia.

Stipe Pletikosa was here few years back, but only for a trial - he played 2 matches i think.

If he gets injured it will be Ambrose and Boyata.

    Could be very interesting..

Blackett can play CB, although I have a feeling he will be deployed more on the right hand side.

Yeah, there coverage of Scotland tonight was a disgrace. Pretty sure they showed Cricket and Tennis before finally going to us at quarter to 11 at night.

I watched him a bunch of times, since I'm Dinamo Zagreb supporter. He is not worth that much money, not even close. He is a solid defender, even good for his age, he can play very good, but he tends to make stupid mistakes against stronger opponents...

I wish him luck, but I'm a bit pessimistic tbh...
