And on what planet are Swansea and Cardiff going to give up £100m in tv money alone to play Linfield and Motherwell?

The Irish League teams moaned about travel distance and cost when playing LoI teams a few miles down the country never mind Aberdeen or TNS :56:

Great performance today, the players were up for it from the start. Pats could have had a
few but their defending was shocking, gave away some awful goals.

Hopefully kick on now and get another win on Friday.

It neve rains but it it pours it seems . Bohemians cannot score a goal to save their life them they go out and hump Pats 5-1. I believe someone once said footballs a a funny old game. It certainly applies here.

I was at the game and to make it even better I had 20 quid on Bohs and both teams to score at 5/1.. Jumping around the Jodi when Pats scored :56::56: Got some funny looks cheering all 6 goals... Landed a free ticket to Bruce with a mate, needless to say I was steaming...:icon_mrgreen: Alwaaays believe in Bohs...

The amount of people coming in after we were 2 up and didn't believe it was 2-0 haha

Unreal it was, especially when our best player wasn't playing. I seen a bloke in the Jodi stand up and give a little cheer when pats scored :56: Not sure if it was you though :smiley-laughing002:

A draw was a fair result tonight, could have gone either way.

Under 1000 people there tonight. I know there are a lot of people in France but it's still quite grim.

Shows all this "Best fans in the world" stuff is a load of *. I'd say over 80,000 Irish fans travelled to France, if even a quarter of that attended LOI games the league wouldn't be in such a state.

True. But it must be said whatever about the quality on display on the field the quality of the pitches for the players to play good football and just as important the quality of the stadiums is for the most part in the league a joke and both of those issues need to get addressed in a big way.

Didnt make it myself last night but yeah thats pretty bad attendance.. With the Euros on it was to be expected, be like Croker on Sunday, probs half the crowd as normally would turn up for a Dublin/Meath game...

The pitches are not great no but this has nothing to do with attendances IMO.. FAI need to inject money into the league, sponsorship, advertising etc.. attract better players.. Look at the Irish team in the Euros, how many came from the LOI... Doesnt help with all the EPL fan boys in Ireland either

I'm not looking forward to tomorrow, I think we could get hammered again. I cant even see us scraping a draw. Ben Mohamed is doubtful aswell ffs, dreading it.

    3-1 Rovers :shamrock:

You were right to be worried Davey!

Great display from Rovers with Dobbs running the show (MOTM) and Boyd coming to score a cracker that would be talked about for weeks if it happened in the EPL, more attacking football out of Bradleys team last night than during the whole of Fenlon's reign. Defensively we were lacking but that will come as the team is builded on.

Overall a great spectacle for the league and was like a throwback to a few years ago :60:

I cant understand how he gets away with it.

Receives more than the total league prize fund and €100,000 more than his Italian and spanish counterparts combined if what I read is correct.

Rovers deserved the win but we gifted them 2 goals. We had some great chances, Byrne should have had a hat-trick and I'll never know how Lopes managed to hit the bar from 6 yards out. If you defend that badly and don't take your chances then you do't deserve to win. Bucko gave the ref a chance to send him off with that tackle but if he's a Rovers player he only gets a yellow.

The third goal was brilliant but there was no need for that * to run over to our end and goad us. It's a pity all the bottles missed him. I wouldn't mind if he gave us a little gesture and ran back over to the Rovers fans but, to stand there and goad us was disgraceful.

Another thing whoever threw a flare from our end onto the pitch is an *. It came close to hitting one of our own fans. Why the * would you take the risk of throwing a flare in the direction of your own fans? Why even throw it?

It's really annoying that we could easily end up getting beat by Rovers in October. They are * but we are worse. Stupid mistakes and poor finishing has cost us the last two derbies. We haven't even made them work for the majority of their goals.

Great stuff from Dundalk tonight, great result. That result will give the league a much needed lift. Hopefully Pats and Cork get through tomorrow.
