Delighted for Harps to finally get back promoted after being stuck in the first for so long. You'd have to feel for Limerick though, so close to doing the impossible. Realistically we need both those teams in the premier though

Feel sorry for Limerick, play some really nice stuff and have a nice wee ground now.. Nearly the great escape, cant see any problems next year for them getting back up...

Hopefully can manage to hold onto a couple of first team players and bring through some of the youngsters who have played games this year and bounce back at the first attempt.

Yeah some great work has gone into the Markets Field and underage system but unfortunately it meant there wasn't much money left to strengthen the first team but all we can do is move on and look to bounce back.

Yeah some decent opposition in Drogheda and UCD plus the Shels games will be interesting and if we can keep up the amazing away support we've had lately then it make for some interesting away days even if it's against lesser named opposition.

Drogheda are *, they could barely survive in the Premier so I honestly can't see them surviving a couple of years or so in the graveyard.

Strange looking at a first division league now with four Dublin region clubs in it as opposed to only a few years back.

Some excitement in the women's cup final, Wexford Youths scoring in the last minute of injury time to force the game into extra time and then Shelbourne coming back from 2-1 down to score in the last minute of extra time to force penalties.

Hopefully the men's cup final is just as good.

Usually is. Fai cup final 2010 and 2013 are my favourite cup finals ever to attend.

Yeah it's a * of a league alright, they badly need to do something about it. Either make it more feasible for new clubs to enter or scrap the first division and expand the Premier Division.

Addmitedly haven't seen all of this game with the Tic match but from what I've seen and other reports online it hasn't lived up to the last few by all accounts. Just over 25,000 at it which isn't bad by all accounts.

2010 is still a sore one, we really didn't show up that day at all

One of the best days of my life so far. Nothing beats winning the cup IMO!

Great crowd and absolute cracking atmosphere by both sets of fans. 12500 from Dundalk out of a population of 35000 is a cracking effort. Even if we can get 1000 of these back for league games, it will help us greatly.

2002 is when my generation started supporting Dundalk regularly, Now we have just got a new generation of supporters after this and last year. Great to see!

Congrats to Dundalk on winning the double for the first time since 1988. Although they did win a league and league cup double last season so it really has been an amazing couple of years for the Louth club.

Great news for Limerick in re-signing goalkeeper Freddy Hall on a two year deal and couple of more to come soon. Big news for next seasons push back to the premier division.
