Reading in the news about 2 motorbike thieves in Edinburgh got away because the police refused to stop them saying someone might get hurt, twice.
The officers, in my opinion, should have been prosecuted for not doing their * jobs.
All these cunting traffic pigs seem to want to do is catch speeders but not the * that steal others property even when they are right in front of them.

It depends on the way they were riding, also Edinburgh is usually packed with vehicles and its going to end messy with two bikes trying to evade the police at high speed trying to squeeze between other vehicles and the amount of pedestrians.

I'd rather read about two thief's getting away rather than 2 people dying because of a police chase.

Police officers today aren't really law enforcers. They are cash collectors out to make money for Great Britain LTD.

Lots of chases are called off when it becomes too dangerous.

Obviously you don't want innocent parties injured, but the police also have to think of the criminal's safety too. It's bonkers.

No they should not be punished for thinking of keeping people safe.
The police can't really win at times...go to far or not far enough and people want their heads.

If there had been a helicopter available it would have followed them. It's just too dangerous for them to have a high speed chase through a city like Edinburgh.

There was Brit cop here a few weeks ago caught doing fraud or something and they can't sack him cause it would cost too much.

Pish thread. No doubt if they'd ended up killing an innocent bystander in a high speed pursuit you'd be wanting them jailed as well.

The thieving scumbags hadn't even stolen the bike at the time.
They were using hammers and a crowbar trying to get at the bike chain and were being filmed by members of the public who called the police.
AFTER, the police didn't show up the thieves managed to get the bike and ride off.
Wanna bet if the thieves got their heads kicked in by the bike owner the owner would have been arrested.
