Yeah if you take into account WHO he has managed. You cant expect Southampton or Coventry to win more than 40 - 50% of their games. The fact is he has won the league 2 times on the trot, last 16 in the CL 2 times on the trot - with our resources, I would say thats pretty outstanding.

i know he has won the league twice , but what i'm saying is the margin of victory is in decline .
yes got into the last 16 twice , which is a great achievment , but i h8 to say , played of the park most of the time and very luckily scraped through with home games.

if you take the * out the teams he has managed previously then i dont understand where all the talk of experience comes from .

Because he gains experience from managing a smaller club against bigger clubs. A tough school, but a good way to learn.

Whats the old saying - "good teams win even when they are not playing well"??? Seems like thats what we are doing in the CL.

apart from the teams he goes against in the CL , what experience or how
much further can he take celtic ?

he's at the helm of a big club , whats he doing to it ?

What are your expectations for Celtic Christic? Be realistic.

lucky teams win when theyre not playing well is more believable
bad teams lose when theyre 2 - 0 up and coasting , playing beautiful football and shouldnt lose ......... and lose 3-2 .

my expectations are to go to ICT and take 3 points , play at home to st mirren and take 3 points , got to greyskull and fight for every ball .
hopefully go to the last eight in the CL after humpin chelsea (thats who i would like celtic to get and beat in the next round) i know every game cannot be won , it's impossible , for any manager , my frustration lies with the oppurtunity to have a lead before playing the darkside but throwing it away and to an extent taking pressure of the darkside , they still have to take the 6 points from their two games in hand , but we know they will do anything to get those points .

fair enough but the dip in form is coming to soon , rather than to the end of the season last year when points were aplenty , injuries arent helping either

The dip in form is here. Rankers are still to hit the skids as they usually do aswell.

Managing both small clubs and big clubs gives you even more, rounded experience. You're taking the * now. He didn't get the right experience with a small club and now he's getting no worthwhile experience while with a big club.

    Further ? Maybe the last 8 CL, 3 in a row, maybe 4 ? 5 ?

    Getting it trophies I suppose.

What better stuff can he do now then what he is
last 16 again, winnnig the league, winning cups
do people wanna go unbeaten the wohle season and maybe beat every1 and get maximum points winning both cups and get semis of Cl or something.

Maybe the expectation is for GS to play his best players and show a bit of savi here and there esp. in terms of subsitutions, perform better in the transfer market and beat teams more comfortably along the lines of the falkirk game.
