Smalling MOTM, probably right, made 2 good interceptions in the first and 1 there 5 minutes ago, other players have really all went through the motions couldnt even think of another contender.

Romero would be an excellent #2, but no way is he a number #1 for Manchester United.

Game was pretty average in the end, Spurs played well for 25 minutes - the only nice spell of decent football in the game, conceded, went into their shell, Man U came into it more but never really done anything. 2nd half started slowly, picked up a wee bit then faded away.

I'm still surprised that Valdes hasn't staked more of a claim.

    Romero reminds me of Barthez.

I think Valdes fell out with LVG and has since fallen out of favour

LVG said Valdes refused to play for the U21s, wouldn't be surprised if both he and de Gea moved on this transfer window tbh.

You'd have thought that was a pre-season game...so lacking in intensity. I think LvG botched it from beginning to end and almost cost United the three points.

Mata shouldn't have been played out wide, Young doesn't deserve to be starting for United, Darmian shouldn't have been taken off, Hernandez should've been brought on to get behind them, etc.

Just a * tactician. And what's he doing with the keepers? Tube.

A win but a lot to work on. Blind isn't a centre back and Valencia should never play in defence again

Couple points wrong with your post.

    1. Young is deserving of his place he was one of there better players last season.
    2. Darmian picked up an injury so was replaced.

Didn't know Darmian was injured, but goes to show how weak they are in that position when they have to bring on Valencia. I don't mind him, but he would have been better coming on for Mata, who was struggling. I wonder why they sold Rafael - decent back up.

I know it's not EPL, but Tony Watt has scored for Charlton against QPR.
